Turnaround & Restructuring Careers

In Turnaround & Restructurings, we advise and support boards, management teams, lenders and stakeholders to address stress, manage crisis, effect turnarounds, deliver restructurings, and crucially, transform vulnerability into confidence with bespoke approach and analytics tools in providing clarity and direction, accelerating recovery and transformation. Our Value Creation Services are predicated on the rapid identification, planning, and implementation of prioritized performance improvement initiatives that will improve cash and enhance profits. Value creation services are also tailored to the type of situation at hand, such as acquisitions, divestments, transformations, or turnarounds.

 

Responsibilities:

  •   Oversee the day-to-day execution of turnaround & restructuring options, capture greater transaction value and achieve strategic objectives - whether they are selling a distressed asset/ business (Distressed M&A), restructuring of business/ debt/ capital/ asset, dealing with underperformance, or looking to improve cash & working capital management
  • Assist in developing engagement strategy and scoping client deliverables
  • Participate in determining project staffing levels, establish expectations for project team members, lead client communication, own project workstreams, and ensure deadlines are met
  • Provide guidance and issue resolution support to teams across multiple concurrent client engagements
  • Assess key business operational performance drivers
  • Synthesize research information to be used in modeling, competitive analysis, industry analysis, negotiation support and various other applications.
  • Interact with client, bankers, and legal counsel to obtain and analyze information, report findings and provide instructions
  • Assist clients in negotiations and liaising with lawyers and all stakeholders
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and lenders
  • Develop and execute practice business plan
  • Lead the process of developing new services
  • Partner with the practice’s leaders to conduct business development activities to identify and capitalize on business opportunities in existing and potential clients
  • Assess overall state of client expectations and satisfaction on a regular basis
  • Contribute actively to the development of team members
  • Mentor and coach team members
  • Work cross-functionally across different practices and businesses within the firm
  • Understand and actively manage the Firm’s risk from take-on through to completion of Engagements

 

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of working experience within a Restructuring Services or, Investment Banking, or Credit Analyst
  • Experiences in interacting with c-suite and senior management teams to understand and evaluate key business issues
  • Ability to identify data to prepare detailed complex financial analyses to understand the client’s liquidity positions, cash flow needs and financial viability
  • Ability to identify key operational performance drivers, cash flow forecasting, and flexibility to support clients with a broad array of issues
  • Strong financial modeling skills including the ability to create robust and flexible financial models based on client’s financial and operational information to drive key decisions and strategies
  • Ability to work under high pressure and adapt to a dynamic working environment
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving capability
  • Ability to synthesize analysis and draw conclusions
  • Ability to establish credibility and influence clients
  • Strong communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills
  • Professional credentials such as CPA, SEC-FA license, CFA and Knowledge of Business Reorganization Process under Thai Bankruptcy Act is a plus.
