Manager - Chinese Client Services Group

Work you’ll do

 

The CSG Manager will manage the CSG activities on a day-to-day basis, reporting to the CSG Partner, closely collaborating with all other functions. Specific responsibilities are:

 

Clients

  • To manage and deliver the CSG client targeting initiative on the top Chinese companies. This involves managing the direct client targeting of Chinese companies, including preparing company packs and account planning for our top targets;
  • Analyze and actively monitor regional, country and industry press;
  • Desktop analysis of Chinese businesses (financials, markets, products, competitors) on behalf of internal contacts;
  • Providing Chinese/regional input, where relevant, to proposal teams;
  • Where appropriate, identify and attend relevant seminars, networking with the delegates and the organizers, aiming to generate follow up leads, including generating and analyzing potential sponsorship opportunities, ensuring that the firm’s Return on Investment is identified and agreed with the Clients & Markets Group;
  • Provide support for Chinese related client work in the North and account management for Vietnam

 

People

  • Build comprehensive networks within the Vietnam and Greater Chinese firm, as well as Chinese-Taiwanese firm;
  • Identify and meet with key Chinese business association contacts (e.g. embassies, investment promotion bodies) and build long term relationships with clients and targets to identify and generate business opportunities;
  • To manage all Chinese Interest Group initiatives and meetings, including any Community Affairs activities;
  • Identify key internal stakeholders, both in the Vietnam and Mainland China/Taiwan, managing the communication of ideas and activities to achieve the Chinese Service Group strategy; and

 

 Firm

  • Business development initiatives for CSG Group in the North
  • Coordinate to develop and deliver an annual business plan for the CSG in line with the wider firm’s strategy;
  • Deliver and manage the CSG marketing plan by overseeing events, seminars, annual Chinese events and by regularly liaising with the Deloitte CMBD Team;
  • To work towards client delivery in terms of project management of any incoming Chinese related ITT (Invitation to Tender), RfP (Request for Proposal) or RfI (Request for Information);
  • To manage the relationship and key activities with our strategic partners and other important trade bodies
  • Provide research on any potential and current opportunities.
  • Identify and generate ideas for Deloitte seminars in accordance with the Group strategy, in conjunction with key stakeholders from different lines of service and industries, whilst maintaining overall responsibility for the organization of the seminars;
  • To manage all Vietnam firm compliance, risk management and independence procedures when organizing events, sponsorship, proposals etc.
  • Manage CRM for all Chinese related contacts and client opportunities in the North;
  • Maintain a record of client leads, opportunities and wins generated as result of the activities of the Chinese Group for reporting to the CSG Leader.

Requirements

 

  • Having at least 3 years of working experience in the field of business development
  • Having local knowledge of the market place with proven experiences in selling Tax/ Financial Advisory / Enterprise Risk/ Audit/ Services in the local marketplace is a plus
  • Demonstrate ability to forge and sustain business/client relationships
  • Knowledge in accounting would be advantageous
  • Having experience in writing presentations and business proposal
  • Native Chinese (Mandarin), and fluency in English speaking/writing
