Work you will do

 

Deloitte is growing its Strategy, Risk, and Transaction (SR&T) – Regulatory & Financial Risk practice in Southeast Asia. We provide risk transformation, data and modeling solutions focusing on some of the unique and complex issues our clients are facing in finance. Advise our clients how to optimize compliance programs, standardize processes and transform compliance to protect their value across the business, while building great visibility, efficiency and confidence for the future.

 

You will work alongside our clients to bring a rigorous, evidence based analytical capability to help them solve pressing and complex issues. This includes revealing insight and delivering value through pragmatic and actionable recommendations. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our clients to understand the forces that are driving change, identifying opportunities and develop solutions across the whole organization.

 

The nature of the work we do includes:

 

  • Support quantitative modeling efforts in emerging and complex domains, including Credit Risk Modelling, Credit Risk Model Validation, Machine Learning and AI.
  • Support data processing tasks, including data collection, data processing, data checking and data cleansing in banking and finance sector.
  • Collaborate with team members to design technical solutions and value-adding propositions that meet client needs and drive project success.
  • Provide technical knowledge on Basel II, Basel III and IFRS 9 projects, addressing complex queries from engagement teams and clients.

Requirements

 

  • Possesses a strong academic background, with at least a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (including but not limited to Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuaries, Data Science, Economics).
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a quantitative or data related role within banking or consulting.
  • Proficient in statistical tools and programming languages such as SAS, Python, R, Matlab, SQL.
  • Strong understanding of risk regulations (Basel, IFRS 9) and banking regulations are preferable.
  • Exhibits strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills, with high attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication, collaboration, and adaptability abilities, with the capacity to work independently and meet demanding timelines.
  • A collaborative team player with a strong personal standard of ethics, integrity, and a commitment to fulfilling the objectives of the role.
  • Embraces continuous learning and development, remaining open to coaching and feedback to enhance performance and professional growth.
