Work you will do
Deloitte is growing its Strategy, Risk, and Transaction (SR&T) – Regulatory & Financial Risk practice in Southeast Asia. We provide risk transformation, data and modeling solutions focusing on some of the unique and complex issues our clients are facing in finance. Advise our clients how to optimize compliance programs, standardize processes and transform compliance to protect their value across the business, while building great visibility, efficiency and confidence for the future.
You will work alongside our clients to bring a rigorous, evidence based analytical capability to help them solve pressing and complex issues. This includes revealing insight and delivering value through pragmatic and actionable recommendations. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our clients to understand the forces that are driving change, identifying opportunities and develop solutions across the whole organization.
The nature of the work we do includes:
- Lead client engagements by serving as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, understanding business objectives, providing expert advisory on complex risk management and regulatory compliance, and delivering high-impact presentations and executive briefings to senior stakeholders.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of customized quantitative solutions, aligning with client requirements and regulatory frameworks.
- Act as a subject matter expert on insurance and banking regulatory frameworks (e.g. ICS/ICS 2.0, IAIS, Basel, IFRS9, etc), driving strategic enhancements to ensure alignment with industry practices and regulatory expectations.
- Participate in industry consultations and contribute to thought leadership on regulatory matters.
- Develop and deliver technical solutions and value-adding propositions to the market.
- Oversee in-house quantitative advisory, training, and knowledge management.
- Assist with day-to-day management of the RFR Advisory team, including training and developing junior staff.

Requirements
- Possesses a strong academic background, with at least a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Risk Management, Finance or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in insurance sector or consulting with direct exposure to insurance companies and practical knowledge of insurance regulatory standards and leading industry practices.
- Exhibits strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills, with high attention to detail and a meticulous approach to quantitative work.
- Demonstrates excellent communication, collaboration, and adaptability abilities, with the capability to work independently and effectively under demanding timelines.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in high-pressure environments.
- A high-performing team player with strong ethics, integrity, and a deep commitment to fulfilling the objectives of the role.
- Open to coaching and continuous development, with a proactive mindset toward growth and improvement.
