Work you’ll do

• Applying a variety of quantitative and qualitative analytical frameworks, models and techniques to analyse economic issues.
• Developing evidence-based policy options and advice to support decision making, policy development and implementation.
• Drafting and communicating findings in reports and compelling presentations to influence key decision makers at Government and regulatory levels, to assist with corporate strategic planning and to contribute to improved business bottom-line performance.
• Liaising with clients and assisting in the development of new business opportunities.
• Advancing your skills in economics alongside Deloitte’s network of experienced economists around the world.
• You will help clients to influence the economic policy debate, participate in regulatory and policy developments, and plan for the future.

Requirements

• Possesses at least a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Public Policy, Finance, or a related field with exposure to statistics or econometrics; candidates with a postgraduate degree in a related field will have an added advantage.
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of statistics and hands-on experience using statistical packages such as R, SAS, SPSS, and STATA.
• Experience in data analytics and econometrics is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with tools and methodologies such as Input-Output modelling, economic cost-benefit analysis, socio-economic impact analysis, program logic models, and theory of change is an added advantage.
• Previous experience in consulting firms or specialist economic agencies (e.g., central bank, economic research house) is considered an advantage.
• Possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills, with an inquisitive mindset and logical thinking.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent collaboration and adaptability abilities.
• High attention to detail and a meticulous work style.
• Thrives under demanding timelines while maintaining quality and professionalism.
• A high-performing, coachable team player who prioritizes continuous development, puts clients first, and exemplifies a values-driven mindset.
