What you'll do

As a Senior Manager in Identity & Access Management (IAM), you will lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade IAM solutions. These solutions may require elements of custom development or consist of Commercial-off-the-shelf software. You will be responsible for driving technical strategy, overseeing solution architecture, and ensuring high-quality delivery across complex transformation programs.

You will partner with C-level stakeholders, business leaders, and technology teams to modernize identity platforms, strengthen security posture, and integrate IAM capabilities into customer-facing and enterprise applications and digital ecosystems.

You will:

Strategic & Leadership Responsibilities

• Define IAM and application development strategy aligned with enterprise security and digital transformation objectives.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to client executives on IAM architecture, application security, and identity governance modernization.
• Lead large-scale IAM and application development programs, ensuring delivery excellence, governance, and risk management.
• Manage multi-disciplinary teams (architects, developers, analysts, testers) across onshore and offshore delivery models.
• Oversee budgeting, resource planning, engagement profitability, and financial performance.
• Drive business development activities including proposals, solutioning, and client presentations.

IAM & Application Architecture

• Design and oversee implementation of scalable IAM architectures across hybrid and cloud environments.
• Architect and lead integration of IAM platforms such as Ping Identity, SailpointIQ and Open Source Solutions such as Keycloak and OpenAM with enterprise applications, directories, and third-party systems.
• Lead secure application development practices integrating IAM control such as SSO, MFA, RBAC, and API security.
• Establish application architecture standards, DevSecOps pipelines, and CI/CD practices.
• Ensure alignment with security frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Application Development & Engineering Oversight

• Oversee full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Provide technical leadership for Java-based and web application development (REST APIs, microservices, cloud-native architectures).
• Implement secure coding standards and application security testing (SAST/DAST).
• Drive modernization initiatives including cloud migration, identity federation, and API gateway integration.
• Review and approve solution designs, code quality, and architectural decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Engineering, IT, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management, Application Development, or Enterprise Security Architecture.
• 5+ years in a leadership role managing large technical teams and complex programs.
• Proven experience designing and implementing IAM platforms including Ping Identity, Forgerock, Sailpoint or other platforms.
• Strong hands-on and architectural experience in application development using:
• Java, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, SQL
• Microservices and cloud-native architectures
• DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience integrating IAM solutions with enterprise applications, cloud platforms, and API ecosystems.
• Deep expertise in one or more of the following:
• Identity Governance & Administration (IGA)
• Single Sign-On (SSO) & Federation
• Privileged Access Management (PAM)
• Consumer IAM (CIAM)
• Cloud Identity & Identity-as-a-Service
• Experience with operating systems (Unix, Linux, Windows) and enterprise directories.
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices, application security testing, and compliance frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience managing full SDLC delivery across multiple projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Ability to travel 25–50% depending on client engagements.
