Work you’ll do
Being part of the CoE team for Southeast Asia Audit in Kuala Lumpur, you will be provided with challenging assignments and interesting work, including:
- Providing internal quality review and support in SEA Audit & Assurance in the areas of engagement quality reviews (“EQR”) and audit quality projects or initiatives.
- Working closely with SEA Audit Quality Leader and SEA EQR Leader in managing audit risk, specifically in the maintenance and continuous improvement of audit quality and implementation of audit methodology in SEA Audit practice.
- Knowledgeable in current business trends and technical excellence to drive continuous improvement.
- Any other duties/projects as assigned from time to time.
Responsibilities:
- Perform quality review of audit & assurance engagements across SEA in relation to significant issues, areas or matters in accordance with audit policy and manual.
- Implement and/or assist in other audit quality projects and initiatives across SEA.
- Understand the goals of Deloitte and our clients and align to these objectives, priorities and direction.
- Influence clients, teams, and individuals positively. Leading by example and establishing confident relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Maximize results and drive high performance from people while fostering collaboration across businesses and geographies.

Requirements
- At least 3 years and above in the managerial role of audit & assurance client service experience in a Major Audit Firm;
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS reporting standards and ISA auditing standards;
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and complete tasks or projects in a timely manner and to a high standard
- Strong ability to listen, analyze and resolve issues independently.
- Conceptual thinking and pragmatic in execution.
- Good interpersonal, facilitation and leadership skills.
- Ability to work within a team (both local and virtual) as well as independently when required.
- Some experience in a role within audit quality, risk management and/or learning is beneficial but not mandatory.
