Role Overview

We are seeking a technically strong Senior Consultant – eDiscovery with deep hands-on experience in managing end-to-end eDiscovery engagements aligned to the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).

The role requires expertise across Relativity, Digital Forensics, data processing, review workflows, and emerging GenAI capabilities to drive efficiency, defensibility, and cost optimization in large-scale investigations and litigation matters.

1. End-to-End eDiscovery Execution (EDRM-Aligned)

• Execute and manage all phases of EDRM:
• a. Identification, Preservation, Collection
• b. Processing, Review, Analysis
• c. Production and Presentation
• Translate legal requirements into defensible technical workflows
• Design and execute search strategies (keyword, Boolean, proximity, dtSearch, analytics-driven)
• Ensure compliance with jurisdictional requirements (GDPR, PDPA, cross-border data)

2. Relativity Platform Expertise (Advanced)

• Administer and manage workspaces in RelativityOne / Relativity Server
• Configure:
• a. Fields, layouts, views, event handlers
• b. User permissions and security groups
• c. Batch sets and review workflows
• Execute data ingestion and processing:
• a. Relativity Processing (RIP)
• b. Native ingestion, OCR, deduplication, deNISTing
• Manage analytics:
• a. Email threading
• b. Near-duplicate detection
• c. Concept clustering
• Implement TAR/CAL workflows (Active Learning)
• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize large datasets
• Support Relativity ARM, archiving, and data lifecycle management

3. Digital Forensics Integration

• Coordinate and support forensic collections using tools such as:
• a. EnCase
• b. FTK (Forensic Toolkit)
• c. Cellebrite
• Understand:
• a. Disk imaging, write blockers, chain of custody
• b. File system structures (NTFS, FAT, APFS)
• c. Email containers (PST, OST, NSF)
• Validate forensic data before ingestion into Relativity
• Work closely with forensic teams to ensure defensible data handling

4. Data Processing & Culling

• Experience with Nuix as a platform which is used for processing
• Execute advanced data reduction strategies:
• a. De-duplication (MD5/SHA1 hash-based)
• b. Date filtering
• c. Domain filtering
• d. File type filtering
• Handle complex datasets:
• a. Structured data (databases, ERP extracts)
• b. Chat data (Slack, Teams, WhatsApp exports)
• c. Mobile and cloud data
• Perform exception handling:
• a. Corrupt files
• b. Password-protected data
• c. Embedded objects

5. Production & Deliverables

• Execute productions in multiple formats:
• a. TIFF/PDF with OCR
• b. Native productions
• c. Load file creation (DAT, OPT)
• Apply:
• a. Redactions (privilege, PII, confidentiality)
• b. Bates numbering and endorsements
• Validate production quality:
• a. Family completeness
• b. Redaction accuracy
• c. Metadata integrity

7. Generative AI & Advanced Analytics Integration

• Understand and apply GenAI within eDiscovery workflows:
• a. AI-assisted document summarization
• b. Automated issue identification
• c. Privilege and PII detection
• Work with tools such as:
• a. Relativity aiR
• b. NavigAite (training will be provided)
• Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, bias, and defensibility
• Design workflows combining:
• a. TAR + GenAI
• Support innovation initiatives to improve review efficiency (e.g., 50–60% reduction models)

8. Stakeholder & Engagement Management

• Liaise with:
• a. Law firms
• b. In-house legal teams
• c. IT and compliance teams
• Translate technical findings into legal-friendly insights
• Support scoping, estimation, and pricing models
• Assist in client presentations and solution demos

9. Risk, Compliance & Defensibility

• Maintain strict adherence to:
• a. Chain of custody protocols
• b. Audit trails and documentation
• Ensure workflows are court-defensible
• Support regulatory investigations and internal audits

Requirements

• Technical Skills

  • Advanced Relativity administration and analytics
  • Strong understanding of EDRM lifecycle
  • Hands-on experience with forensic tools and data types
  • Knowledge of:
  • Email systems (Exchange, Gmail)
  • Cloud platforms (M365, Google Workspace)
  • Familiarity with scripting/automation (PowerShell, SQL – preferred)
  • Strong Excel/data handling capabilities

  Analytical & Operational Skills

  • Ability to handle large-scale datasets (TB-level)
  • Strong problem-solving in high-pressure environments
  • Attention to detail in QC and production accuracy
  • Experience in multi-language review environments (advantage)

  Soft Skills

  • Strong communication with legal and technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage tight timelines and shifting priorities
  • Team leadership experience in review environments
