As a Cloud Operations and Site Leader, you will be accountable and responsible for the end-to-end operations of our global hosting platforms and products in line with strategic business objectives. You will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of managing our cloud platforms and products including cloud account provisioning, platform administration, platform/availability monitoring, incident/event/problem management, configuration/inventory/change management, security management, capacity planning, disaster recovery, routine update of services. Your expertise will be used to set expectations and manage priorities with the Deloitte Cloud Services leadership and understand the needs of your clients related to operational
capabilities and strategy. You will be managing people across time zones around the globe, to deliver 24/7/365 support coverage for our platforms. To be successful in this role you will need a good balance of strong technical skills, keen time/project management, and an understanding of how teams deliver software through the DevOps methodology.

This role will also be responsible for providing administrative leadership for all Deloitte Technology team members in the Kuala Lumpur location. In this capacity you will be responsible for coordinating with Deloitte Technology leadership, Service Line Leaders, and Talent to drive operational excellence, organizational culture, and performance.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leading platform and product support aspects for Deloitte Cloud Services to include strategic planning, release execution, resource deployment, and overall leadership and coordination efforts.
  • Lead the scrum/kanban team’s priorities in release planning, sprint planning, and other agile ceremonies, working in collaboration with solution architects, developers, senior product managers, contractors, and a variety of technology partners.
  • Challenge requirements to ensure we are delivering what is best for the client and business.
  • Partner with product development teams to help us move towards becoming a high performing DevOps organization.
  • Collaborate with leadership to review product release schedule and milestones.
  • Lead and participate in troubleshooting complex issues related to cloud and hosting infrastructure with the ability to organize participants across multiple teams and drive to a solution in an efficient manner with a clear delineation of accountability across hosting and application layers.
  • Participate in technology/solution decisions with architecture and development teams ensuring that operational excellence considerations are factored into technical design and ensure implementation requirements are met and properly documented.
  • Understand and contribute to our documented non-functional requirements (NFRs) and validate/demonstrate if cloud solutions are meeting non-functional requirements based on key metrics.
  • Understand and analyze common workflows to identify and eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to automate repeatable processes.
  • Create and maintain automated monitoring and dashboarding/reporting of cloud infrastructure health, performance, and cost management.
  • Ensure timely liaison with vendors regarding problems, fixes, and required enhancements.
  • Drive technical innovation and efficiency in infrastructure operations via automation and orchestration.
  • Partner with Deloitte Technology leaders to oversee local team performance.
  • Work with local and Global Talent teams to insure consistent and thoughtful talent management.
  • Drive Deloitte Technology culture working across local and global teams.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications
  • At least 7 years of experience managing hosting operations teams in 24/7 production, highly available, multi-site enterprise environments, including application hosting with experience running high availability networks and replicated disaster recovery architectures.
  • At least 5 years of experience operating and supporting mission-critical cloud hosting infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP and VMWare).
  • At least 3 years of experience working within a lean-agile product organization, preferably using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) with demonstrated history of delivering value aligned to company objectives.
  • Technical hands-on experience in private/public cloud infrastructure and application architecture.
  • Intermediate experience in scripting (PowerShell, Python, Perl, Bash, or similar).
  • Intermediate proficiency with database operations and queries (e.g. MS SQL Server, T-SQL, Mysql, MongoDB).
  • Experience working within DevOps platforms and tools (GitHub, Gitlab, Azure DevOps, etc).
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc)
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring tools (Dynatrace, New Relic, etc)
  • Intermediate proficiency in server, software and network troubleshooting.
  • Proficient with underlying hosting technologies (SQL, HTTP, SSL, DNS, Load Balancers, VPC’s, Transit Gateway, VPN, caching, etc).
  • Excellent verbal and written skills since this job entails communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in implementing/enforcing quality guidelines, standards, and procedures.


  • Public cloud certifications highly preferred (Azure, AWS or GCP).
  • Demonstrable proficiency in understanding and working with IT compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
  • SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager Certification (or equivalent).
