Work you’ll do
 

The Deloitte Global Trade Advisory (GTA) practice is a national practice within Deloitte Tax & Legal’s Indirect Tax practice. GTA focuses on improving the transactional and trading environment of business. As part of our GTA team, you’ll provide consulting advice and compliance expertise to clients for a wide range of global trade matters, including export and import compliance and strategies.


You will work with local and multinational companies, understand national and international trade requirements, and align client trade functions with their business objectives. You will also have the opportunity to develop and pursue creative strategies using the latest technologies.

 

This role is responsible for providing support to Partners, Principals, and Directors in delivery of client service, and managing client relations on a day to day basis.

 

What will your typical day look like?


You will be helping companies manage global compliance requirements and realize efficiencies in their global supply chain. You will be advising local and foreign multinational companies on global import and export strategies and compliance. You will also be leading large-scale business development initiatives.

 

As a Senior Manager / Associate Director, you will manage and mentor a small team as well as support and help drive business development initiatives. This role will also see you assist in billing and controlling of Work In Progress, adhering to budget and deadline constraints as well as manage clients and ledgers.

Requirements

You are someone with :

 

  • A degree in International Studies, Law, Business or Accounting
  • Experience working in a consulting or legal firm 
  • Experience in managing a small, diverse and dynamic team
  • Project management experience indicating strong organizational, data management, project planning, project execution, and people skills
  • Business management and financial leadership experience indicating ability to plan and manage budgets, financials, and operations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and with a high attention to detail you will draw on your corporate and commercial experience to think strategically to achieve the firm’s objectives and build strong relationships
  • The ability to think strategically to achieve the firm’s objectives and build strong relationships.
  • Experience with export/import, trade and customs regulations, including advising on supply chain optimization, rules of origin, free trade agreements, valuation, trade remedies, anti-dumping, licensing requirements, accessing facilities will be an advantage.
