Work you’ll do
 

  • Tax Audit: Conduct comprehensive tax audits to identify discrepancies, potential risks, and compliance issues.
  • Compliance Review: Review financial documents, records, and tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Tax Research: Stay updated on relevant tax laws and regulations in Malaysia, and provide guidance on their implications for the organization.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed reports of audit findings, including recommendations for addressing any identified issues or risks. Maintain comprehensive documentation of audit procedures and results.
  • Communication: Collaborate with internal departments and external tax authorities to address tax-related inquiries and resolve issues. Maintain effective communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Tax Planning: Assist in tax planning activities to optimize the organization's tax position while remaining compliant with regulations.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential tax risks and propose strategies to mitigate them.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve tax audit procedures and strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Contact clients and officers from Inland Revenue Board, Ministry of Finance and other government agencies.

Requirements

 

  • Possess minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in related disciplines such as Accounting & Finance/Economics or equivalent
  • Must possess Professional Accounting Qualification, otherwise you are required to pursue one professional accounting qualification and complete within three years
  • Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
  •  Active participant in career development and training processes
  • Teamwork – strong ability to work with others and share responsibilities
  • Solid ability to prioritize and organize workload
