Work you’ll do

  • Manage and lead teams to provide high-quality, professional day-to-day execution of various forensic investigations engagements and projects (including but not limited to fraud, accounting, corruption, employee misconduct, regulatory enforcement, anti-bribery and corruption, integrity due diligence, whistleblowing solutions and other investigations support) for clients across a wide range of industries (i.e. the government, law enforcement, corporate, financial services and legal sectors)
  • Manage the entire engagement to deliver quality work to clients as well as coaching, guiding and supervising works of subordinates
  • Provide strategic direction to the team to deliver a superior client experience
  • Support investigations engagement delivery by performing engagement planning, scheduling, coordination and administration of engagements as well as ensuring execution of work as per the agreed scope of work within agreed timeline
  • Display understanding of client needs, priorities and anticipate related challenges
  • To contribute as a high-level technical expert to strengthen design and delivery of solutions
  • Provide all necessary guidance to team members on investigations response, evidence collection, and forensic analysis
  • Define remediation steps and provide recommendations to clients
  • Undertake quality control measures to ensure consistent and accurate work practices
  • Responsible for the management of budgets, cost-control and reporting any exceptions 
  • Produce quality working papers, review/revise work and take lead in drafting reports and proposals
  • Being informed and stay up to date with emerging business such as AML trends as well as other regulatory requirements and guidance affecting clients
  • Maintain professional and positive client interactions whilst dealing with ad-hoc queries
  • Develop strong client relationships, establish credibility with and instill confidence through direct interactions with current and prospective clients to provide high-quality client service
  • Take a proactive role in creating market demand for forensic services, proactively identify pull through opportunities and raise internal and external awareness of services
  • Assist with the development of new forensic services opportunities to address market demands and grow a pipeline of new opportunities
  • Assist Partner/Director in public speaking engagements
  • Take a proactive role in developing the forensic knowledge base within the team and assist with the development of in-house expertise
  • Responsible for attendance management and capacity planning.
  • Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management, Law or related disciplines or undertaken professional papers (e.g. ACCA)
  • Other financial qualifications (i.e. CFE or ACAMS) is valued
  • Minimum 7 years (5 years for Manager role) of work experience in an advisory firm (Big 4, mid-tier or general consultancy) under forensic, investigations or an equivalent field.
  • Experience in project management skills such as supervisory experience in team management on fraud investigations related projects as well as working with various stakeholders to produce quality deliverables
  • Conducted investigations and have working experience of relevant concepts (i.e. evidence preservation and collection, data privacy, legal privilege, investigative interviewing techniques, business intelligence)
  • Experience in handling highly confidential information with a high degree of discretion and with a focus on maintaining client privacy
  • Demonstrate proven technical excellence in managing and executing complex investigations projects 
  • Understanding of investigations engagement approaches and methodologies in order to devise and execute solutions 
  • Experience working in cross-border team environments and with significant client face time
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Skeptical yet practical mindset to assess situations and reach conclusions objectively.
  • Strong time and organization skills with the ability to prioritize when working under a tight schedule on multiple projects
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments
  • Determination and tenacity to see the matters and projects to its conclusion
  • Strong interpersonal skills including client management and people skills 
  • Strong communication skills and command over spoken and written English. Knowledge of another Asian language is valued but not a requirement
  • Excellent technical and business writing as well as presentation skills
  • Proficient with MS Office, especially MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Able to travel for overseas engagements on a short notice period
