Work you’ll do

 

This role is part of the Reporting & Analysis  (R&A) CoE.  The R&A CoE supports  all aspects of management reporting and analysis. The R&A CoE is made up of analytical, financial, and reporting experts that align reporting with the strategic priorities of our businesses, enabling areas and business leaders. The team is responsible for designing and driving the future of management reporting for all levels of firm leadership. With a focus on innovation, the team will continuously seek ways to enhance and optimize existing deliverables and create new reporting solutions. The R&A CoE is  uniquely positioned to identify and implement leading practices across the firm.   As a member of our R&A team, you will have the opportunity to interact with many groups across the global network to conduct daily job requirements such as:

  • Facilitate and promote demand for R&A CoE services by providing the data and analysis that support the business requirements for information and insights 
  • Support initiatives to increase both the Finance and business leaders’ understanding of business performance and opportunities
  • Use business, financial reporting, and analytical expertise to facilitate special projects and recurring deliverables for leadership
  • Translate client information and data requirements into leading practice report design and visualization, facilitating various aspects of the project development lifecycle from requirements gathering, solution design and development, client review and acceptance, to post-deployment
  • Continuously innovate by identifying opportunities to improve our CoE processes, tools, templates, and systems

Requirements:

 

Primary Job Activities: 

  • Gather and document financial management reporting requirements from Finance business partners 
  • Translate requirements into financial management reporting solutions that equip business leaders with the information and insight to drive decisions 
  • Develop data models and procedures for financial reporting and analysis using Excel, Access, and VBA 
  • Use business, financial reporting, and analytical expertise to manage complex special projects and recurring deliverables for leadership 
  • Monitor reporting leading practices and technology for solution insights, direction and methods 
  • Accountable for project scope management, documentation, status reporting, and work planning                                      

Necessary Competencies:

  • Basic knowledge of financial metrics (e.g., P&L statements, etc.) 
  • Proven experience with financial management reporting, including translating stakeholder needs for reporting 
  • Experience with information management and relational data concepts 
  • Strong analytical capabilities – research and data analysis, problem solving, etc. 
  • MS Office – advanced Excel skills 
  • Knowledge of report visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) and ability to convert business requirements into dashboard views and designs 
  • Knowledge of the Firm’s financial systems (e.g., SAP, HANA AO) 
  • Possess strong business and technical skills with proven ability to understand how technology can be leveraged and the ability to quickly learn new technology 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to craft and tailor the message to the audience 
  • Bi-lingual (English and Mandarin)
