Work you’ll do

Data sits at the heart of every organisation and is relied upon for all aspects of operations, analysis, decision-making, reporting and regulatory requirements. This is no different for us at Deloitte. The enabling functions in Audit & Assurance are going through a transformation in how we support the business. Information for decision-making is vital as is effective coordination of our processes.

As an analyst, you will work with the different SEA offices and what you deliver will make a difference as you provide actionable insights and bring efficiency. You will work across a range of internal enabling areas to support the quality, transformation and operations functions in Audit & Assurance. 


Typical tasks will include:
•    Data extraction from various systems for use in management discussion and analysis
•    Data manipulation using tools such as Excel, Microsoft SQL, MS Access, Qlikview, PowerBI and/or Tableau to load and transform raw data into standard data models
•    Data analysis, visualising results through interactive dashboards which you will build
•    Performing and coordinating reconciliations to verify the completeness and accuracy of data. This task will require a degree of problem solving and sensitivity in dealing with senior stakeholders.
•    Carry out data quality checks which will need to be raised to management if any problems occur
•    Manage a portfolio of reporting deliverables to leadership, ensuring tasks are being done on time and in an efficient and accurate manner
•    Project management and coordination

•    Diploma/degree educated, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics or Science related. However consideration will be given to other skills
•    Minimum, experienced with Microsoft SQL and a strong working knowledge of Excel 
•    Prior experience working with and managing large data sets, including extraction and merges from source systems, data cleansing and transformations, and providing preliminary descriptive analytics findings to business challenges
•    Additional prior experience working with ACL, MS Access, R, Qlikview, Power BI and/or Tableau would be beneficial
•    Individuals should be enthusiastic and have a flair for problem solving and troubleshooting
•    Demonstrated critical thinking skills
•    Good communication skills both verbal and written (English language)
•    Strong interpersonal skills and the ability work in a team
