Work you’ll do

This is a full-time position where the candidate is given the opportunity to learn and contribute effectively to key IT infrastructures ranging from Cloud infrastructure to Active Directory to periodical Software Deployments. This role is also responsible for the compliance of good security practices and be involved in troubleshooting, project deployments and implementing integrations that meets our needs.

On top of this, the candidate must be able to think out of the box to explore new ways of using IT infrastructure to improve the operational end-to-end processes in the region.

This role will need to be constantly analyzing data for improvements and optimization.

The successful candidate for this position will need to demonstrate strong innovation thought process, good technical leadership with excellent all-round technical skills (e.g. network, security, application support, database, etc.).

Scope and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for architecting, configuring, and maintaining the Southeast Asia IT environment.
• Responsible for working with the infrastructure and application teams to maintain the uptime and accessibility to the various IT environments and systems.
• Ensure to provide solutions which complies to the security standards of the company.
• Support requests from the users and resolve problems related to the IT infrastructure environment.
• To identify and analyze issues that impact performance of the systems, and to work in close coordination with the application team and other supporting teams and recommend resolutions.
• To perform all supporting tasks that are included, but not limited to code deployment, virtual servers, scripting, etc.
• To consider and identify the discrepancies in the system, to assess the risks, and to implement solutions by adhering to the security standards.
• Maintain proper documentation of all procedures, and configurations pertaining to the various components of the IT environment.
• Support security audits and IT audits for compliance purposes.
• Develop, execute, and oversee procedures, to automate operation of the IT infrastructure to improve efficiency of the environment
• Ensure to practice IT asset management inclusive of component inventory maintenance and associated documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or equivalent. 
• 3 to 4 years of managing and maintaining small to medium sized Cloud environment as well as on-premises IT infrastructures.
• Strong knowledge in building, delivering, and managing Cloud platforms, network or security infrastructure.
• Preferably certified in related and applicable technologies.
• Preferably has experience in P2V / V2V & Hypervisor software.
• This position will help drive automation standards across our testing and production environments and be a key resource as we migrate to the cloud.
• 2 years professional software development / programming experience in Python or PowerShell scripting.
• Having background in Cloud Computing such as SaaS, PaaS, etc is an advantage.
• Knowledge of virtualization (VMWare, Citrix) and Azure / AWS is an added advantage.
• Broad understanding of technical problems and solutions with ability to implement most advanced solutions.
• Good command in English, both verbal and written.
• Good communication and interpersonal skill to liaise with local peers, Southeast Asia regional and global counterparts.
