Work you’ll do


Deloitte is growing its Strategy, Risk, and Transaction (“SR&T”) – Restructuring, Turnaround & Cost Transformation (“RTCT”) practice in Southeast Asia.

 

Our people flourish in the unexpected. The RTCT team specialises in offering sophisticated advice and innovative solutions to companies facing corporate stress or disruption. Working with lenders, investors and senior stakeholders including CEOs, CFOs and MDs, we advise on financial restructuring / refinancing, operational restructuring, profit improvement programs, formal insolvency appointments (including Judicial Management, Receiverships and Liquidations) cash generation / working capital analysis, and large-scale complex transformational change, to protect and build value, while maximizing returns.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

 

  • Assist in the administration of corporate restructuring and insolvency engagements, including:
    • Liquidations (CVL, MVL, Court)
    • Receiverships
    • Judicial Management (JM)
    • Schemes of Arrangement
    • Corporate Voluntary Arrangements (CVA)
  • Prepare letters, notices, statutory filings, court documents, emails and reports to officers, creditors, debtors, regulators and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate publication of statutory notices in newspapers by liaising with advertising agents.
  • Assist in conducting position assessments and perform due diligence on target business.
  • Liaise with tax agents, auditors, accountants and company officers to coordinate accounts, audits and tax filings.
  • Assist in taking control of business premises, assets, books and statutory records, and in preparing analysis reports.
  • Conduct site visits to business premises.
  • Liaise with valuers for property, asset or business valuations.
  • Assist in asset realisation, debt recovery and proof of debt exercises.
  • Conduct preliminary investigations of past transactions.
  • Support in financial review and preparation of restructuring proposals.
  • Attend meetings and prepare minutes.
  • Escalate issues and communicate clearly with seniors/managers in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related disciplines.
  • Up to 2 years of experience working in accounting, consulting, or a financial institution
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team player.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
