What you will do

1. Client Engagement

• Requirements Analysis: Act as a primary liaison for gathering and interpreting client requirements, ensuring alignment with overall objectives.
• Strategic Advisory: Provide insights to identify and address complex challenges in financial risk and regulatory compliance.
• Client Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, demos, and recommendations to senior client stakeholders.

2. Solution Design & Implementation

• Solutioning: Contribute to the design and configuration of business solutions tailored to client needs, leveraging a thorough understanding of risk and regulatory frameworks.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee testing and validation, ensuring that solutions accurately meet client specifications and industry good practices.
• Documentation: Develop detailed project documentation, including solution & system requirements, process workflows, and user guides.

3. Technical Expertise

• Subject Matter Expertise: Work with SME to apply deep knowledge of relevant technologies, platforms, and analytical tools to create robust and scalable risk management solutions.
• Innovative Problem-Solving: Stay updated on emerging trends and regulatory changes, incorporating new methodologies to enhance client outcomes.
• Issue Resolution: Proactively troubleshoot and resolve business or technical issues during project execution.
• Data Quality: Evaluate data integrity and prepare management documentation.

4. Collaboration & Communication

1. Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with project managers, technical analysts, and broader stakeholder groups to ensure alignment of project goals, scope, and timelines.
2. Effective Communication: Translate functional concepts into clear technical requirements, bridging gaps between business and technical needs.
3. Knowledge Sharing: Document and share practices, lessons learned, and key insights with both internal and client teams.

5. Project Delivery

• Project Oversight: Contribute to project planning, execution, and monitoring. Coordinate tasks among team members to maintain progress and quality.
• On-Time Completion: Drive project deliverables, ensuring milestones are met according to scope and client expectations.
• Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential project risks, escalate issues promptly, and implement mitigation strategies.

6. Continuous Improvement

• Optimization: Recommend and implement improvements to methodologies, workflows, and toolkits to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Methodology Enhancement: Work with practice leadership to refine and evolve advisory and consulting frameworks based on project experiences and industry changes.
• Feedback Loop: Provide constructive feedback on team performance and project processes to foster ongoing professional development.
• Technical: Strive for continuous self-improvement by pursuing relevant certifications and accreditations.

You are someone with:

• A degree, preferably in technical engineering, statistics, economics, mathematics, finance, accountancy, or a related field.
• Possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.  A background in banking or financial institutions is preferred, but this can be supplemented with significant knowledge of the financial markets and banking industry.
• Strong knowledge of risk management, with a focus on one of the risk domains namely credit risk, market risk, operational risk and climate risk preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse range of staff on qualitative and quantitative risk management in multitasking and cross-country settings
• Proficient in data analytics or statistical analysis tools (i.e., Python and SAS), with advanced Excel skills.
• Experience in mentoring and coaching at least 2-3 junior team members.
• Proficient in business-level English, with the ability to communicate ideas and prepare professional client presentations.
