Work you’ll do

Deloitte is growing its Strategy, Risk, and Transaction (“SR&T”) – Restructuring, Turnaround & Cost Transformation (“RTCT”) practice in Southeast Asia.

 

Our people flourish in the unexpected. The RTCT team specialises in offering sophisticated advice and innovative solutions to companies facing corporate stress or disruption. Working with lenders, investors and senior stakeholders including CEOs, CFOs and MDs, we advise on financial restructuring / refinancing, operational restructuring, profit improvement programs, formal insolvency appointments (including Judicial Management, Receiverships and Liquidations) cash generation / working capital analysis, and large-scale complex transformational change, to protect and build value, while maximizing returns.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Support Managers in the administration of corporate restructuring and insolvency engagements, including:
    • Liquidations (CVL, MVL, Court)
    • Receiverships
    • Judicial Management (JM)
    • Schemes of Arrangement
    • Corporate Voluntary Arrangements (CVA)
  • Ensure timely and compliant filing of statutory filings, notices and court documents with relevant authorities.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients with minimal supervision, while reporting to Managers and above.
  • Supervise, coach and review the work of team members and review of work performed by Analyst and Consultant to ensure quality, compliance and timely delivery.
  • Conduct independent financial reviews, scenario analysis and prepare restructuring proposals, information memoranda, business plans and other transaction-related documents.
  • Review sale and purchase agreements, legal documents and due diligence findings.
  • Assist in preparation of restructuring proposals, information memoranda and business plans.
  • Perform industry and business research, including identification of key business drivers.
  • Review financial structures, credit agreements and other commercial documentation.
  • Liaise with stakeholders including clients, creditors, debtors, lenders, directors, shareholders, regulators, valuers, auditors, tax agents and legal advisors.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related disciplines, and/or a professional accounting qualification.
  • At least 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in insolvency, restructuring, advisory or external audit.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills; able to engage internal and external stakeholders.
