Work you’ll do

 

As a HRBP, you are responsible for HR matters for the Regional Capability Center of a Business Unit. You will work with the Regional HR team and business leaders to align business objectives, HR practices across the regional BU and contributing to the broader business strategy. This role requires collaborations with other HR team members in other countries BU and local HR  compliance team. You will need to be comfortable working in a complex cross matrix structure.

 

You are playing a pivotal role in the implementation of HR strategies and initiatives to support the Regional Capability Center in alignment with the business objectives. This role involves building strong partnerships with senior business leaders, collaborating closely with regional HR teams, and contributing to strategic HR decisions. You will oversee key HR functions, foster collaboration in a complex cross-matrix organisational structure, and shape the workforce to meet the organisation's evolving needs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the regional capability center on HR related matters such as entire employee lifecycle, onboarding and offboarding activities, talent management, employee retention, compensation and benefits, performance management, retirement etc.
  • Providing HR recommendations to key leaders, ensuring alignment with business objectives and HR planning.
  • Implement/Manage the implementation of HR programs
  • Monitor headcount and staff costs against budget, ensuring adherence to planned budget and using data to support decision making.
  • Building strong relationship with internal stakeholders and being the key advisor for HR related queries within the business unit.
  • Manage HR-related risks and ensure proper documentation and reporting, ensuring compliance with local laws and firm’s policies.
  • Leverage HR metrics and analytics to inform strategic decisions and provide actionable insights to business leaders.
  • Manage performance management processes, providing tools and guidance for leaders to deliver effective feedback and development plans.
  • Foster employee engagement by partnering with leaders to create a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Provides support on the other areas of Human Resources practice when required and to assist in ad-hoc projects/tasks where necessary.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in similar setting/industry preferred. 
  • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and regional HR teams to deliver strategic HR solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysia’s employment laws and regulations.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills , and comfortable to engage with senior management level and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, capable of managing complex and completing priorities within tight time constraints.
  • Demonstrated experience in performance management, workforce planning, and talent development.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • High level of maturity, adaptability, and accountability
