Key Responsibilities
 

Deloitte's Immigration Practice helps companies and individuals manage their immigration compliance matters and obligations effectively and efficiently. Leveraging on Deloitte's extensive resources and reach, our Immigration professionals keep clients abreast of developments and offers the unsurpassed consultation on immigration planning and compliance. 

The Global Employer Services Immigration team within Tax Practice offers multidisciplinary consultations to employers and foreign employees of multinationals, large, medium, and small companies. Your role includes assisting clients in addressing and managing immigration specific challenges of an employer.

To assist and serve a portfolio of sizeable multinational clients relating to advisory and consultancy on the following :

  • Immigration management/support (this may include coordinating all requirements of immigration from initial consultation, eligibility assessments, technical advisory drafts and preparation of immigration documentations)
  • Monitoring applications from initiation through to successful completion in respect of liaising with the clients to collate necessary information / documentation, drafting applications, issuing advice notes, and lodging applications with the relevant government authorities. 
  • Timely billing and collection tracking upon completion of professional services
  • Manage escalations timely and professionally.
  • Legal advisory liaison on business and employment related issues
  • Draft correspondence and communicate with clients and expatriate individuals to gather information and clarify requirements for immigration applications. 
  • Providing immigration support to regional portfolios when required
  • Serve as the primary liaison with relevant government authorities to ensure smooth communication and process handling.
  • Work closely with engagement teams to ensure timely delivery of tasks and contribute to a high-performing, inclusive environment. 
  • Conducting ad-hoc research where necessary

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
  • Have at least 1 - 3 years of experience in immigration
  • Strong command in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken)
  • Knowledge on immigration services of Malaysia (East and West Malaysia) is an added advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • A team player with customer service acumen, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Able to project manage
