Key Responsibilities
Deloitte's Tax Services help companies and individuals manage their tax costs and obligations effectively, especially in the area of cross-border tax matters. Leveraging on Deloitte's global resources, our Tax professionals keep clients abreast of developments that have tax implications and advise them in structuring investments, merger and acquisitions, transfer pricing, tax planning and compliance.
For its Global Employer Services service line, Deloitte Tax Services is keen on recruiting candidates who are willing to fit into the roles outlined below and have the requisite qualification and acumen to assume responsibilities attached to the job.
- Demonstrate strong technical expertise in tax compliance reporting, including the preparation and review of tax filings, and draft high-quality tax advisory deliverables. Utilize tax software proficiently to prepare, process, and review tax returns.
- Stay current with important technical updates and proactively suggest solutions to address emerging tax compliance issues for employers and expatriates.
- Manage compliance and reporting processes, oversee tax management activities, and conduct thorough risk and control assessments. Identify opportunities to enhance engagement processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Research and consultation on various tax matters. Assist in the preparation of comprehensive tax advisory reports and related client deliverables.
- Address and resolve employer and expatriate concerns by offering timely guidance on tax compliance and advisory topics. Exhibit strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade clients and stakeholders effectively.
- Serve as a key liaison with employers and individual expatriates to address compliance tax reporting and advisory matters through in-person meetings, phone calls, and emails.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with officers from the Inland Revenue Board and other relevant government agencies as needed.
- Perform additional support tasks as required by the team to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.

Requirements
- Possess minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in related disciplines such as Accounting & Finance/Economics or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 3.20.
- Possess at least 3 - 5 years’ experience in related field.
- Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Active participant in career development and training processes.
- Teamwork – strong ability to work with others and share responsibilities.
- Solid ability to prioritize and organize workload.
