Responsibilities

  • Develop editorial content and monitor media/social media mileage
    • Oversee the Firm’s weekly newspaper column, which includes writing articles, editing articles, and coordinating with the newspaper’s editorial team 
    • Write thought leadership articles based on proprietary Deloitte research for publication in local media outlets 
    • Write news releases based on proprietary Deloitte research for publication in local media outlets 
    • Write ad copy
    • Work with the Firm’s different business units to write or edit op-ed pieces
    • Develop a content strategy and content calendar to market/promote the firm and its services
  • Over-all in charge of all external communications and select internal communications 
    • Edit/proofread communications (can include memos, newsletters, proposals, etc.)
    • Edit alerts and news releases from the Firm’s different business units for release to clients and contacts and to the media  
    • Edit proposals/presentation decks for use in business development activities 
    • Work directly with CEO in drafting communications to be released by the Office of the CEO, including during emergencies/crises 
    • Write and/or edit marketing collaterals – brochures, flyers, etc.
    • Write internal and external communications/announcements
    • Write speech and/or talking points for partners’ speaking engagements
    • Oversee crisis communications  
  • Work with the team to develop communication and content strategy for digital platform
    • Work with brand & marketing manager and social media specialist in developing social media content, making sure the content reflects Deloitte’s shared values and tone of voice, and Deloitte Philippines’ priority messaging
  • Media and PR relations
    • Serve as the main point of contact for media inquiries
    • Craft press release, organize press conferences, and find opportunities for Deloitte and its partners to be featured in media outlets and other platform
    • Monitor media coverage to evaluate effectiveness of communication strategies
    • Handle and respond to negative press in a timely and strategic manner

Qualifications

  • Graduate in any business-related degree, Communication Arts, Marketing, or any related fields.
  • With at least 8 years working experience in business communication field or marketing 
  • Excellent communication skills  
  • Tested project management skills  
  • Familiarity with, or keen interest in following industry trends and developments 
  • Genuine commitment to DEI
  • Experience writing thought leadership articles based on available research/data 
  • Experience writing press and news releases  
  • Experience coordinating with media  
  • Experience managing and creating social media content  
  • Experience in event management  
  • Experience in crisis communications a plus
