Work you will do

 

The Environment Lead is a critical role responsible for the daily health, stability, and operational readiness of our development, SIT (System Integration Testing), and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) environments. This individual will be the primary point of contact for environment-related issues, ensuring seamless operations, efficient test data management, and robust security posture to support continuous development and quality assurance efforts.

  • Perform daily health checks across all assigned environments to proactively identify and address potential issues.
  • Efficiently triage, investigate, and troubleshoot problems, including deep-diving into application logs and Application Insights data.
  • Data Refresh Execution: Plan, prepare, and execute periodic data refresh activities, including large-scale yearly data refreshes (e.g., October to February cycle) and ad-hoc delta data refreshes.
  • Database Operations: Perform complex SQLDB activities for data preparation, refresh, and clean-up (e.g., fixing data issues from incorrect file loads).
  • Test Data Requests: Handle ad-hoc test data requests from UAT/SIT teams, including specific member data for online registration.
  • Support post-data refresh activities, including manual data quality issue remediation.
  • Provide ongoing support for the TOSCA platform, ensuring its stability and optimal performance for test automation.
  • Manage the renewal and lifecycle of all necessary certificates within the environments to ensure continuous operation and security.

 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of total work experience in the IT space as Scrum Master/Business Analyst of related
  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer, Azure Administrator, or similar).
  • Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Experience in an Environment Management, DevOps, or Senior QA/Operations role with significant environment responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and supporting complex application environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities to quickly identify root causes of issues.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret logs, performance data, and complex system behaviours.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 

To be successful in this role, you should have the following key experience and capabilities:

  • Strong expertise in SQL (Structured Query Language) for database querying, manipulation, and administration.
  • Familiarity with Azure services, particularly Azure DevOps, Log Analytics, Application Insights and Azure Key Vault.
  • Experience with monitoring tools for system health checks and performance analysis.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and data handling.
