Work you will do

As a Guidewire Developer – Analyst, you will support the development and delivery of Guidewire solutions for insurance clients.

• Develop and configure solutions using Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and/or ClaimCenter.
• Translate business and technical requirements into Guidewire configurations, integrations, and application components.
• Support unit and system testing, defect resolution, and production deployment activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile delivery environment.
• Deliver high-quality work while following Deloitte and client standards for security, privacy, ethics, and risk management.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent field.
• 1 – 2 years of experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and/or ClaimCenter.
• Knowledge of Gosu programming and strong proficiency in object-oriented programming principles and best practices.
• Basic understanding of Guidewire configuration and integration concepts.
• Familiarity with Guidewire Studio, Gunit, and Data Model extensions.
• Understanding of insurance business processes and terminology.
• Knowledge and/or experience with relational databases, such as MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Good understanding of web services, including SOAP and REST.
• Experience supporting unit testing, system testing, and/or production deployment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Maturity, adaptability, and willingness to undertake training in other emerging platforms and technologies.
• Nice to have:
  • Experience with JSON and JavaScript technologies or frameworks, including native JavaScript, REACT, or Node.js.
  • Guidewire Associate Certification

To be successful in this role, you should have the following key experience and capabilities:

• Knowledge of or exposure to DevOps and CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, Git, SVN, Bamboo, and Bitbucket.
• Familiarity with delivery and collaboration tools, including JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and collaborative software-delivery practices.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Strong learning agility and openness to feedback.
• Personal accountability for assigned deliverables, quality standards, and deadlines.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
• A proactive approach to identifying issues, seeking clarification, and escalating delivery risks when appropriate.
