This role sits within Customer and Marketing under Advertising Marketing & Commerce offering. Work you will do:

Producing innovative and inspiring client outcomes across the spectrum of UX projects, you must be innovative, quick to adapt, have strong understanding of the end-to-end UX design process, coupled with experience in delivering UX design and eagerness to continually learn new digital technologies.

 

You’ll work closely with our clients to understand their business requirements in the broader context of their digital strategy and advocate for the customer by developing intuitive interactions and easy-to-use interfaces. You will collaborate with amazing digital experts across disciplines including but not limited to Experience Strategists, Researchers, UX Designers, Creative Designers, Business Analysts and Engineers to deliver industry leading experiences across a broad range of products and services.

 

Taking a user-centric approach, you’ll be responsible for driving Deloitte Digital’s user experience approach on client projects as well as across Deloitte, collaborating with amazing experts across disciplines to innovate and solve some of the most exciting problems for our clients. You will:

  • Lead a single stream of research to help inform business decisions using participatory and iterative design techniques including observational studies, customer interviews, prototyping, and other forms of qualitative and quantitative research to uncover insights, learn about user behavior and verify design concepts.
  • Apply project management skills in scoping, design, planning and implementing service design on projects
  • Lead the analysis and synthesis of data to generate insights to apply to the improvement of the business
  • Support the development and execution of high quality artefacts supporting our insights and recommendations
  • Design and conduct measured experiments to gather feedback on existing or conceptual products, and services.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand the needs of the project, with a focus on providing the most impactful and meaningful solutions
  • Support the alignment of clients around digital adoption, agile, & lean design and innovation delivery
  • Coach more junior members of the Deloitte teams with a focus on crafting a successful and client centric environment that facilitates opportunities to develop for all levels of staff
  • Provide support for on-sell opportunities through existing client engagements.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification e.g. Service Design, UX, industrial design, product design, visual design, interaction design, architecture or other relevant design discipline
  • At least 3 years of human-centered design, or similar, professional practice; consulting experience is a plus
  • A passion for creating human-centered experiences that delight end users and that solve business problems
  • Strong awareness of methods, processes and approaches that you’ve built up over time and experience
  • Effective communication and presentation skills (verbal, written and visual) with the ability to lead or contribute to workshops and client showcases
  • Natural intellectual curiosity and problem solving drive
  • The ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams, as well as manage smaller projects end-to-end
  • Comfortable with a non-linear process, comfort in ambiguity, and flexibility to adjust as things shift
  • The ability to engage with stakeholders and help them to influence decisions
  • A desire to contribute to the broader success of the Experience Design team by playing a mentoring and coaching role to other team members
  • The ability to get your hands on with design and prototyping tools such as Adobe CS/CC (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator etc.), Axure, Sketch or other design tools is a bonus
