Work you’ll do
1. AI & Data Governance, Risk and Controls
- Support the assessment, design, and operationalisation of AI and Data Governance frameworks, policies, standards, and target operating models.
- Identify, assess, and document AI and data-related risks, including data quality, privacy, security, bias, fairness, transparency, explainability, and model robustness.
- Assist in developing AI and Data Risk and Control Matrices (RCMs), risk registers, control libraries, and mitigation plans.
- Support mapping of governance requirements and controls to recognised frameworks and regulatory expectations, including ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF, Singapore’s Model AI Governance Framework, and relevant data protection requirements.
- Conduct gap assessments and develop practical recommendations and remediation roadmaps.
2. AI & Data Assurance
- Support assurance engagements assessing governance arrangements, risk management practices, and the design and operating effectiveness of controls.
- Assist in developing risk-based audit and assurance procedures, testing methodologies, and evidence requirements.
- Perform control assessments and testing across AI and data lifecycles, including data acquisition, development, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing governance.
- Evaluate data governance practices covering data quality, lineage, ownership, access management, privacy, and lifecycle management.
- Document findings, control deficiencies, remediation recommendations, and structured assurance reports.
3. Client Delivery & Advisory
- Participate in client workshops, stakeholder interviews, walkthroughs, and risk assessment discussions.
- Support development of AI and Data Governance policies, procedures, control frameworks, and operating models.
- Translate regulatory, governance, and risk requirements into practical controls and implementation recommendations.
- Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, Technology, Cybersecurity, Data, and AI stakeholders.
- Contribute to presentations, assessment reports, proposals, and other engagement deliverables.
4. Practice & Solution Development
- Contribute to Deloitte’s AI and Data Assurance methodologies, toolkits, and accelerators.
- Support development of AI risk assessment tools, control libraries, testing procedures, and reporting templates.
- Stay informed of AI governance, data governance, emerging technologies, and relevant regulations and standards.
- Participate in internal knowledge sharing, training, and solution development.

Requirements
Education & Professional Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Business, Accounting, Risk Management, Law, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in consulting, assurance, governance, risk management, or technology-related roles.
- Experience in one or more of: AI Governance / AI Risk / AI Assurance; Data Governance / Data Risk / Data Assurance; IT Audit / Technology Risk / ITGC; Enterprise Risk Management / Internal Audit / Regulatory Compliance.
- Experience supporting advisory, risk assessment, audit, or assurance engagements.
- Ability to prepare professional client deliverables, assessment reports, and structured documentation.
Technical & Domain Knowledge
- Understanding of governance, risk management, and internal control principles.
- Familiarity with risk assessments, control design, gap analysis, and/or control testing.
- Foundational knowledge of AI/ML concepts and lifecycles and associated risks such as bias, explainability, data quality, privacy, and security.
- Understanding of data quality, lineage, ownership, protection, and access controls.
- Exposure to ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF, COBIT, ISO 27001, DAMA-DMBOK, or Singapore AI governance guidance is advantageous.
Professional Skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to translate governance and regulatory requirements into practical risk and control considerations.
- Strong written and verbal communication and professional reporting skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with client stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and interested in emerging technologies and AI and Data Assurance.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Mandatory)
- CISA, CRISC, CDMP, AIGP, ISO/IEC 42001, ISO 27001, or equivalent certifications.
- Experience with AI and Data Governance policies, risk and control frameworks, or target operating models.
- Exposure to ServiceNow, Archer, or OneTrust GRC platforms.
- Experience in regulated industries, including financial services, telecommunications, or public sector.
- Familiarity with AI assurance, model risk management, or responsible AI assessments.
