About Best Managed Companies Program
The Best Managed Companies program is an awards program recognising privately-held companies for their organisational success and achievement. Established in 1993 in Canada, the program has become the most significant business award of its kind, providing a distinct framework for management teams to challenge themselves and benchmark against some of the best private companies in the world. Currently active in 48 countries in the Americas, Europe and Australasia, and now launching across Africa, we share best practices, support company and sector growth, as well as build a community of best private companies in Singapore and across the world.
The Best Managed Companies (BMC) Program Assistant Manager will be part of a team responsible for running the BMC awards and growing the award winners' community across Southeast Asia, with guidance from the Senior Manager.
The responsibilities cover the following:
Awards presentations
• Assist in planning and executing the annual awards cycle, including conducting briefing for applicants' representatives, collating awards nominations, performing preliminary review and assessment of incoming nominations, preparing and managing applicant labs, organising awards judging panel meetings, and preparing the regional awards ceremonies
• Continuously review and streamline awards nomination and administration processes for improved efficiency
• Assist in the communications and social media plans to engage the applicants and mass market, and prepare speeches for the awards ceremonies
• Provide guidance and supervision to junior staff
• Undertake ad-hoc projects relating to Best Managed Companies Awards Program, as assigned
Community building
• Develop and maintain a database of Southeast Asia BMC network of winners
• Assist with physical and virtual engagement and networking events around Southeast Asia for the BMC winners, including organising the annual regional symposium
• Assist in the communications and social media plans for consistent high level engagement with the winners and community stakeholders
• Ensure consistent and compliant use of the BMC brand
• Facilitate the BMC network via regular network calls and updates
• Support the identification of new program opportunities, ensuring a best-in-class approach is adopted at all times

Requirements
• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in a Communications or Business Administration related discipline
• Minimum 3 years' experience in managing awards portfolio
• Strong in project management, planning and prioritisation
• Meticulous and attentive to details
• Strong command of spoken and written English
• Demonstrated experience and ability to engage senior management
• Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment
