Work you’ll do
The Deloitte Center for the Edge complements our consulting and advisory practices by supporting our clients, helping them understand the fundamental changes shaping the world, navigate short-term challenges and identify long-term opportunities for exceptional performance. We do this by focusing on emerging disruptions, innovations and transformations at the ‘edges’, from the boundaries of what is ‘core’ today. The Deloitte Center for the Edge expanded its global presence to Asia Pacific, opening a new office in Singapore in 2019.
The role of Assistant Manager/Manager will give the candidate a unique opportunity to work with a wide array of clients to frame potential futures and solve business problems. The role will enable the candidate to stretch their critical thinking and problem-solving skills and network with executive level clients as well as Deloitte leaders. They will be responsible for designing and delivering client interactions and workshops, researching emerging trends and hosting public events and programs.
The ideal candidate has well developed consulting and project management skills, good facilitation/presentation skills, with an interest in emerging technologies and business model transformation. A proactive and hardworking attitude will help the candidate excel in this role.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be a key leader at the Deloitte Center for the Edge, and be involved in driving internal and client interactions, preparing and delivering workshops, developing and managing events and programs, and conducting and managing research:
Client interactions and workshops
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify client problems and opportunities that might benefit from Center for the Edge perspectives.
- Construct client conversation agendas to help drive interactions with clients on Center for the Edge topics of disruption, innovation and transformation.
- Convert Center for the Edge perspectives into client-ready collateral and support proposal efforts to engage clients.
- Develop the Center for the Edge workshop offerings and collaborate with cross-functional teams in designing and delivering workshops for clients.
- Manage multiple client engagements/interactions simultaneously.
Research and writing
- Identify potential ‘edges’ to research and develop into Center for the Edge perspectives.
- Lead and conduct primary and secondary research on specific ‘edge’ topics.
- Author blogs, research papers and develop other collateral on ‘edge’ topics.
- Develop and manage Center for the Edge website and social media activities.
Programs and events
- Develop eminence opportunities including programs and events, including hosting webinars, podcasts, speaker series, and bespoke events.
- Identify and develop partnerships with relevant external parties to co-create and co-deliver on programs and events.
- Lead all aspects of designing, developing, and managing programs and events.
Program Management
- Point of contact for Deloitte Center for the Edge requests validating requests against services provided and addressing or re-routing appropriately.
- Manage staff and intern recruitment, onboarding and oversight.

Requirements
• Minimum 4 to 6 years of project management experience in a challenging and dynamic environment.
• Minimum 3 years of management consulting or internal consulting experience.
• Independent, proactive and able to operate effectively in ambiguity.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Strong presentation and workshop facilitation skills.
• Proficient in MS office.
• Knowledge of design tools and an eye for visual design.
• Experience in Design Thinking.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and business model transformation.
