Work you’ll do
Deloitte’s Turnaround & Restructuring Services provides in-depth business and financial advisory services to senior and c-suite management, financiers and investors in the areas of debt advisory, turnaround, restructuring and business recovery. Our main areas of expertise include debt advisory and restructuring, performance improvement, portfolio advisory, and business recovery services such as scheme administrations, judicial management, receivership and liquidation.
The DAR team focuses on advising clients on their debt and capital issues across the credit spectrum including advising and assisting clients on their funding and restructuring requirements.
In this client facing role you will be heavily involved in driving the origination and execution of debt advisory and restructuring transactions including but not limited to:
• The identification and development of transaction opportunities;
• The preparation of marketing materials and conduct of marketing meetings;
• The implementation of business and financial reviews;
• The review of strategic options and development of the optimal strategy;
• The preparation of transaction marketing and information materials;
• The conduct of investor, lender and creditor meetings;
• The development and negotiation of transaction terms and documentation; and
• The completion of the transaction.
You will be working with senior clients and professions, and will be managing and coordinating transaction team, client and counter-party activities.

Requirements
The successful applicant would have:
• Completed an undergraduate degree with outstanding academic credentials;
• At least nine (9) years of experience with a major investment bank, commercial bank, fund and/or advisory firm, specialising in restructuring, debt advisory, corporate finance, project/structured financing, high yield debt and/or special situation financing;
• Strong origination and transaction execution capabilities;
• Good working knowledge and understanding of debt markets and conditions;
• Experience in and ability to drive due diligence processes;
• Experience in and ability to oversee financial modelling activities;
• Experience in and ability to review, develop and negotiate debt term sheets and documentation;
• Strong analytical, credit and structuring skills;
• Strong communication and presentation skills; and
• Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills.
