Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- End-to-End Payroll Process for Singapore, ensuring that all calculations, payments, and reporting are completed accurately and on schedule. This includes maintaining up-to-date knowledge of local payroll regulations, tax requirements, and statutory contributions.
- Handle weekly payroll, including final salaries, taxes, and ad-hoc payments.
- Prepare and file mandatory tax documents such as IR8A and IR21.
- Verify and reconcile monthly CPF contributions. Submit accurate records to the CPF Board and address any discrepancies or queries regarding contributions promptly.
- Review and validate employee timesheets to ensure correct calculation of hours worked, overtime pay, and leave taken.
- Process claims for government-paid leave.
- Coordinate the submission of NS claims and reimbursements are tracked correctly.
- Prepare payroll journal entries for monthly closing, and maintain secure, organised records of all payroll transactions.
- Resolve payroll-related queries, providing guidance to employees on salary breakdowns, statutory deductions
- Ensure compliance with employment laws.
- Perform other payroll-related tasks as needed e.g supporting payroll audits, assisting with payroll system upgrades, and contributing to process improvement initiatives

Requirements
- A recognised diploma in Finance/Accounting or professional qualifications such as ACCA.
- Prior experience managing payroll, preferably within Singapore, is strongly preferred. Minimum 1-2 years payroll experience
- Candidates with accounting knowledge will have an added advantage.
- Possess a strong understanding of Singapore’s statutory payroll obligations, including tax legislation, CPF rules, and government leave schemes.
- Proficient in payroll software (BIPO, cloud base system) and MS Office.
