About Deloitte Tax & Legal Digital Transformation
Out team of about 18 team members are all passionate about Software Development and enjoy working with talented individuals in an agile manner. Our team is responsible for developing custom software for our Tax & Legal professionals across SEA. We are also responsible for integrating our systems into global platforms as well. Our team is focused on building platforms in a user centric way by engaging directly with business teams to build our products. We strive to build platforms that improve the capabilities of our Tax & Legal professionals so that our Tax & Legal Professionals can deliver quality services to our clients as efficiently as possible.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, technically minded internally facing IT Application Support Engineer to help support our systems as we continue to grow. Working with the Digital Transformation team, the Digital Application Support Analyst is responsible for supporting the applications and system issues that arise across the team.
This position interacts with multiple stakeholders within the firm. The candidate should also possess effective communication skills, excellent attention to detail, good time management skills and the ability to execute/deliver deliverables on time in a dynamic team environment. The candidate will receive training on any proprietary applications and processes needed to perform their job.
We believe that learning is bi-directional and hope also to learn from you along the way. Our team regularly shares code, best practice updates, and general knowledge through Azure DevOps Wikis, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom calls.
Key job responsibilities:
• Actively engage and lead production support issues/incidents by responding in a timely manner in accordance with the Service Level Agreement with the Business.
• Takes ownership of escalations and respond to system queries, perform troubleshooting, and conduct research to identify solutions to the reported issues. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
• Manage incidents and effectively communicate with users, application owner, business teams and senior stake holders across all areas.
• Challenge existing application setup, processing and suggest different ways to solve problem or improve stability.
• Running the day-to-day operations of the technology platform (MS SQL Server). Serves as an escalation point between the client/business area and internal management for the resolution.
• Identifies vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement, as well as maintain metrics to help develop analysis that will drive improvement in all areas.
• To enhance existing support process to maintain/improve service level & quality.
• Ability and willingness to develop technical SME (Subject Matter Expert) and business knowledge.
• Experience in handling application outages & driving root cause analysis and remediation.
• Clear analytical thinking and excellent communication skills.
• To coordinate and support infrastructure maintenance activities.
• To onboard, monitor and manage operations for implemented platforms.
• Support SharePoint online migration issues by running existing scripts

Requirements
Key skills desired
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering-related majors. Computer Science or related discipline will be an advantage.
• Relevant work experience in a similar role.
Technical Skills Desired:
• Effective troubleshooting skills, a great problem solver with the ability to take system problem and structure an action plan.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Basic understanding of programming concepts
Personal Skills Desired:
• Good logical and structural thinking.
• Aptitude to be vocal and proactive. MUST be self-driven.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including fluency in English
• Highly organized, yet flexible enough to change focus pursuant to business demands
• The ability to handle multiple assignments with overlapping deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Focus on self-review and providing high quality deliverables
• Ability to work independently or with minimal assistance.
• Collaborative and a team player
Knowledge of the following is a plus but not mandatory:
• Understanding of excel macros
• Programming knowledge of JScript, XML, SQL
• Understanding of cloud technology and zeal to learn
• Familiarity with relational database concepts
• Familiar with software development lifecycle
• Exposure to requirements elicitation and software testing as a part of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
