Work you’ll do


The AP Sector Specialist role offers an opportunity for talent to support the execution of the sector strategy, foster connectivity and collaboration across a global ecosystem, and activate sales and go-to-market campaigns targeting our most important clients in that sector. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the successful execution and delivery of complex programs and initiatives while driving business development, sales, and marketing activities to fuel portfolio growth. This ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, an understanding or an interest in business development and account management, and the ability to operate within a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment.


An overview of the key activities includes:
Market activation (Eminence, Marketing & Thought Leadership, Sales Campaigns)
•    Work closely with the AP Industry Leader and AP Industry Operations Lead to execute marketplace sprints and activation campaigns targeting key AP accounts under management within the sector
•    Actively leverage and manage sector-specific assets, alliances & ecosystems to help drive growth in the sector account portfolio and priority pursuits
•    Support the contribution to sector-specific Global / AP research, insights, and eminence initiatives
•    Support the delivery of the Deloitte Private Equity Summit to achieving desired outcomes
•    Support deployment of knowledge assets to enable leaders to strengthen external brand
•    Work with industry and business leadership to identify subject matter resources as needed for content development
•    Work with global PE activation team as well as global industry & sector marketing and business development teams to identify insights and activate campaigns
•    Lead/coordinate sector-specific special projects that arise
•    Help sector leaders build their personal brand on priority issues through targeted campaigns


Knowledge Management and Community Development
•    Actively connect the right people, qualification, solutions to support the AP sector priority pursuits
•    Capture sector expertise and surface sector-specific priority issues to help Sector Leaders develop solutions to win in the market
•    Build collaborative relationships across the ecosystem to facilitate sector initiatives and account team priorities
•    Increase communication and knowledge sharing within the sector across AP and Global 
•    Drive best practice sharing
•    Build relationships with global peers; share insights and case studies, and bring learnings to the AP team 


•    Socialise and embed strategies and plans across sector communities, and key accounts
•    Support annual account planning and forecasting processes
•    Work with Industry and Sector Leaders and other subject matter experts to understand the market opportunities and mobilise support 
•    Develop/seek regular insights on the market and competitors to underpin sector strategic choices 
•    Provide inputs to go-to-market sector strategies and bold play solutions for key account plans


Operational execution 
•    Enable sector performance reporting
•    Highlight wins and sector successes to relevant stakeholders 
•    Proactively share projects and pursuit best practices across the sector 
•    Proactively guide sector account teams through the AP funding matrix to support pursuits
•    Respond to global and AP leadership requests for sector information
•    Drive excellence in sector operations by bringing discipline and rigor to sector team cadence

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business administration, Marketing, or related field 
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of work experience that demonstrates project management, client service management, marketing & BD experience
  • Experience managing or delivering projects within a professional environment
  • Strong project management/ program management skills 
  • Excellent written English and oral communications skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate clearly and effectively
  • Proven track record of being a critical member of a high-performing team
  • Client service background or experience working in the Private Equity sector is preferred; however, knowledge of the sector is sufficient
  • Work experience should demonstrate knowledge of client service delivery and client relationship management
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment 
  • Enthusiastic and proactive
  • Ability to support leadership to drive stakeholder engagement
  • Inquisitive and be on the pulse of trends happening within Private Equity sector both regionally and globally
  • Capable of building effective working relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple business areas, functions, and geographies
