This role provides both regional and global exposure to an experienced learning professional who will be actively leading both the development and deployment of learning solutions throughout the Asia Pacific region, as part of a regional learning team. 


Reporting to the AP Learning Solutions Leader, the AP Learning Manager will be a key member of a regional learning and development team that is responsible for implementing a regional learning approach and delivering learning solutions, as part of the Global Curriculum (i.e., leadership, professional, industry), across Asia Pacific. 


The Manager will plan and execute various regional learning-related initiatives, prioritized by the AP Learning Leadership Team, that focus on topics including AP Curriculum development, local deployment of learning programs, faculty development and regional delivery models, etc.  


Additionally, he or she will also support the delivery of selected leadership and professional learning programs at Deloitte University Asia Pacific (DU AP), including faculty preparation (i.e., in-person or virtual briefings) activities, post-mortem debriefs and other content-related tasks for ensuring that participants receive high-quality, distinctive learning experiences.  


The role requires the candidate to be physically based in one of our Asia Pacific geographies, with preference to Hong Kong or Singapore; regional travel and participation in global meetings outside normal working hours should also be expected.


Specific duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of a portfolio of global learning programs, including leading and defining their deployment approach in the region and managing multiple program deliveries to a wide range of professionals in the region.  
  • Assume project lead roles for Global Curriculum learning solution(s); demonstrate operational stewardship and build program knowledge and expertise, where needed. 
  • Take an active role during AP or global program redesign efforts and support the facilitation of program content; utilize feedback from faculty and program participants to improve the program's overall quality and effectiveness.
  • Manage vendor/contractor selection, support contract negotiations and ongoing relationships with external facilitators and speakers.


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in HR management, organizational psychology or a business-related discipline; relevant professional experience also includes human resources/talent development in a global/regional professional services firm or MNC and relevant experience in learning solution design, management and delivery.

Functional experience: 

  • 5-6 years of experience in helping to design and execute the HR, talent, learning & development, leadership, organization and change programs for clients or internally in a professional services environment:
  • Experience in delivering workstreams or projects, and supporting change in a consulting or in–house environment;
  • Experience within one or more of the following areas: Organizational Design, Organization Culture Change, Strategic Change Management, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement;
  • Exposure to the development and delivery of complex, multi-faceted learning programs;
  • Some experience facilitating programs in diverse environments (e.g., nationality, business unit, service line, seniority-level, etc.);
  • Experience utilizing instructional design principles and frameworks to assess learning needs, design learning programs and materials, and evaluate their effectiveness; and
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders at the regional level desirable, as well as a multi-cultural team.

  • Strong faciliation skills and demonstrated grace-under-fire
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and interact with all levels of management 
  • Effective project/time management skills, including multiple project planning and execution
  • Ability to effectively and confidently communicate and build rapport across cultures; fluency in one or more language, outside of English (i.e. Mandarin, Japanese, etc.), would be advantageous
  • Proactive and effective at proposing new/alternative ideas, where appropriate
