Work you’ll do

 

The Senior Mobility Specialist will manage all cross-border moves ensuring a smooth experience and compliance with the Firm’s cross border policies, immigration, tax and other related regulations. This role will also be an advocate and champion for mobility for the Southeast Asia (SEA) region.

 

Responsibilities

 

Operations:

  • Be the key point of contact for mobility related matters, providing guidance to practitioners, project managers, mobility, tax, finance and other parties
  • Advise on appropriate type of assignments
  • Preparation of package and cost estimates
  • Coordination with home country mobility
  • Preparation of business cases and Funding Applications
  • Obtaining approvals
  • Assignee Pre-assignment and Post assignment briefings
  • Preparation of assignment documents – start / extension/ end
  • Immigration/Tax/Payroll initiations including hands on application of entry/business visas and work passes for resources inbound to Singapore and any other countries as required
  • Providing administrative support throughout the lifecycle of the assignment from pre-relocation to repatriation    
  • Recording and Reporting
  • Coordination with home country for handling of costs
  • Coordination with Finance/Tax Team on Tax Filing and other tax matters
  • Monitoring and tracking of key dates – immigration/ end dates/social security
  • Maintenance of data integrity in the assignment system
  • Preparation of regular and ad-hoc reports  for leadership

 

Policies, Process and System:

  • Review of mobility policies and allowances to ensure it is up to date and continue to meet business needs
  • Be the expert of the assignment system – work with AP to implement any updates or enhancements
  • Conduct training for relevant parties on the mobility policies, processes and system

Requirements:

 

Experience in the following areas is highly regarded:

  • Recognised degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a global mobility role and interested to learn and grow in the Global Mobility profession.
  • Advanced working knowledge of various visas and work permits in SEA countries.
  • Tax knowledge related to cross border moves.
  • Working experience in a professional services firm.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively, both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Strong organizational and monitoring skills.
  • Ability to handle high volume in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly resourceful with focus on problem solving.
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments and adapting plans to changing circumstances.
