Job Responsbilities

  • Assists in the identification, implementation and maintenance of the organisation’s information confidentiality and privacy policies and procedures with a focused understanding of privacy laws and confidentiality obligations across SEA;

  • Develops, implements, and enforces policies and procedures of the organization's privacy programs;

  • Stay abreast of relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, guidelines, and industry developments relating to data protection, privacy and security;

  • Assist the organisation to ensure that it has and maintains appropriate privacy and confidentiality consent & authorisation forms, information notices and materials reflecting current organisation and legal practices and requirements; and

  • Directs, delivers or ensures delivery of security-related trainings;

  • Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) to identify, assess and address business risks, based on the organisation’s functions, needs and processes;

  • Work with Asia Pacific and SEA Security teams to develop and implement Asia Pacific and SEA privacy and confidentiality initiatives;

  • Manage and report all suspected and / or confirmed data breaches in accordance with the data breach management plan; and

  • Provide guidance to business and technology stakeholders in the context of changes to systems, processes and vendors that contain data

 

Requirements

  • More than 5 years’ experience in control/compliance/advisory within security or data privacy space
  • Knowledge of privacy/data protection laws particularly in South East Asia 
  • Aptitude of translating laws into actionable procedures and controls
  • Ability to work in a collaborative manner to develop strong working relationships with stakeholders and support them in improving data protection and governance practices and willing to work in a collegiate diverse environment.
