Work you will do

 

Deloitte is growing its Strategy, Risk, and Transactions (SR&T) practice in Southeast Asia.  Our practitioners deliver highly specialised advisory solutions to clients facing critical business events and financial transactions where significant value is at stake.  With a network of trusted resources working across the globe, our SEA Strategy, Risk & Transactions network has the reach, deep industry sector knowledge, extensive service capabilities and expertise to help clients capitalise on opportunities and navigat​e times of economic uncertainty and disruptive events. 

 

The Internal Quality and Risk Management (QRM) Manager will play a key role in supporting business enablement across the Southeast Asia region.  The QRM Manager is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enhancing quality and risk management processes, ensuring the business complies with firm policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards. The incumbent will collaborate closely with engagement teams, leadership, Global and regional QRM functions to drive risk awareness, maintain quality standards, and support business enablement across the Southeast Asia region.

 

The nature of the work we do includes:

 

  • Strategic Risk Partnership
    Collaborate closely with the Business Risk Leader and the Southeast Asia SR&T QRM team to cultivate a consultative network that supports regulatory and risk management initiatives, positioning risk as a strategic enabler for business growth.
  • Regulatory Compliance Advisory
    Act as a central point of contact and subject matter expert on regulatory requirements for the Corporate Finance Advisory and Restructuring practices. Provide timely, pragmatic guidance to business teams to ensure adherence to applicable regulations.
  • Quality and Risk Program Implementation
    Drive the deployment of quality and risk management programs and tools across the SEA SR&T business, ensuring consistent application and alignment with firm-wide standards.
  • Policy and Framework Development
    Contribute to the design and enhancement of QRM policies, guidelines, templates, and tools that empower teams to deliver client engagements efficiently while maintaining compliance with regulatory and internal risk protocols.
  • Practice Reviews and Compliance Monitoring
    Support the execution of thematic practice reviews and oversee the monitoring of internal policies and ISO standards to ensure continuous improvement and regulatory alignment.
  • Leadership Reporting and Insights
    Deliver accurate, timely, and insightful reporting to senior leadership on key regulatory, risk, and quality matters, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Learning and Development Facilitation
    Design and deliver targeted learning programs for senior leaders and staff within SR&T, aimed at deepening understanding of reputation, regulatory, and risk management principles.
  • Legal and Contractual Risk Collaboration
    Partner with the Office of General Counsel and Legal team to proactively identify and mitigate legal and contractual risks impacting the business.
  • Regulatory Horizon Scanning
    Maintain a forward-looking view on emerging regulatory trends and developments, assessing potential implications for the SR&T business and advising on strategic responses.

Requirements

 

  • Minimum experience range of 8 – 12 years of relevant professional service experience in regulatory affairs/compliance, risk management or corporate financial advisory.
  • Strong familiarity with Capital Markets Services regulatory frameworks in Singapore and Malaysia, with demonstrable experience engaging with regulatory authorities and interpreting complex regulations.
  • Completed undergraduate degree, with a preference towards Accounting, Finance, Business, Risk Management or Law
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with English fluency, proficiency with Microsoft Office+ suite and related productivity tools  
  • Ability to work independently and concurrently as a team player across different service offerings in the SEA region, comfortable interacting and communicating with varying levels of stakeholders  
  • Strong organisational and project management skillset; and high attention to detail
  • Flexibility and willingness to work on a variety of topics and issues within the risk management field, always coachable for continuous development.
