Work you’ll do

Deloitte is growing its Strategy, Risk, and Transaction (“SR&T”) – Performance Improvement & Restructuring (“PI&R”) practice in Southeast Asia.

 

Our people flourish in the unexpected. The PI&R team specialises in offering sophisticated advice and innovative solutions to companies facing corporate stress or disruption. Working with lenders, investors and senior stakeholders including CEOs, CFOs and MDs, we advise on financial restructuring / refinancing, operational restructuring, profit improvement programs, formal insolvency appointments (including Judicial Management, Receiverships and Liquidations) cash generation / working capital analysis, and large-scale complex transformational change, to protect and build value, while maximizing returns.

 

You will work alongside our clients to bring rigorous, evidence-based analytical capability and strategic thinking to help them solve pressing, complex and cross-border issues. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our clients to understand the forces that are driving change, identifying opportunities and developing solutions across the whole organization.

Your role as a team member

Additionally, Consultants  across our Firm are expected to:

 

  • Support the delivery of financial and operational restructuring, turnaround, insolvency and performance improvement engagements across a range of industries.
  • Develop financial analysis, cash flow reviews, independent business review workpapers, stakeholder presentations and client deliverables.
  • Analyse large volumes of financial and operational data to identify key business issues, value drivers and improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to the preparation of reports, proposals and client presentations.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, colleagues and other professional advisers.
  • Take ownership of assigned workstreams and deliver high-quality outputs within demanding timelines.
  • Demonstrate curiosity, commercial awareness and a willingness to learn from challenging situations.
  • Continuously develop technical, analytical and professional skills while contributing to a high-performing team culture.
  • Understand disruptive trends and promote potential opportunities for improvement.

 


Requirements

 

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related analytical field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting, consulting, corporate finance, banking, restructuring, insolvency or credit analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational information with a meticulous approach to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to present complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Inquisitive nature with a willingness to learn independently and stay updated on industry developments.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data analytics and visualisation tools like Power BI, or Python is advantageous.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, uncertain, and ambiguous environments, with the ability to work efficiently against demanding timelines.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication, adaptability, and a proactive approach to proposing solutions.
  • Collaborative, proactive and eager to learn.
  • Willing to travel for assignments within Southeast Asia and internationally.
