Work you’ll do

 

The AP Industry Operations Lead role offers an opportunity for talent to drive the development and execution of the industry and sector strategy, foster connectivity and collaboration across a global ecosystem, activate market campaigns, advance our brand, and manage day-to-day operations. 

 

You will play a pivotal role in supporting the successful execution and delivery of complex programs and initiatives while driving business development, sales, and marketing activities to fuel portfolio growth. This role requires a strong understanding of the technology, media and telecom sector, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to navigate and influence within a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment.

 

An overview of the key activities includes:
        
Strategy 

  • Support the development and execution of the Asia Pacific TMT industry strategy in conjunction with the regional sector, and geographical and regional business leaders
  • Develop a strategic growth plan aligned to the market opportunities. Collaborate with cross functional teams to create compelling value propositions and market positioning
  • Drive and execute the AP TMT strategy into regional go-to-market activities and provide analytical, and operational support. Align with Global TMT strategy  
  • Showcase, socialise and embed the AP TMT priority growth initiatives across communities, and key priority accounts in AP 
  • Collaborate with TMT Industry & Sector Leaders, and other subject matter experts to understand the market opportunities 
  • Develop/seek regular insights on market, sector and competitors to underpin industry and sector strategic choices 
  • Support financial planning across the region working with the individual geographies and regional businesses and sectors 
  • Curate relevant Assets, Alliances & Ecosystems and promote their use to drive growth across the portfolio

 

Leadership/ Community Development

  • Build regional industry community across businesses and geographies to strengthen the network, enhance capabilities and share best practices; build communities of practice for agreed priority areas of the AP TMT strategy
  • Liaise with industry, business, and client communities to drive integration, increase communication, knowledge sharing and build eminence for the sector
  • Support the development and delivery of learning & development programs (e.g., AP Academy)
  • Build relationships with global peers; share insights, and case studies, and bring key learnings to the AP team 
  • Build strategic relationships across the ecosystem to facilitate industry and sector initiatives, strategy, and account team priorities
  • Champion an inclusive culture and work well with diverse teams by engaging, developing, and supporting individuals with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives
  • Coach and manage sector resource

 

Operations 

  • Champion Sales Excellence. Ensure resources are effectively deployed to support key pursuits
  • Manage Industry & Sector reporting to track performance effectively. Encourage using live systems to report
  • Act as a point of contact to each Deloitte dimension to help prioritize, tailor, and bring Deloitte value into the marketplace
  • Maximize enabling area resources such as Market Intelligence, KX, Nerve Centers, and Industry learning by creating awareness and visibility to Industry and Sector Leadership teams and client account teams 
  • Plan, execute and manage AP TMT budget, including priority sector investment funds, travel, pursuit funding, as well as investments in other funding mechanisms


Go to Market / Eminence

  • Build and differentiate Deloitte's brand on identified priority issues, leveraging Global eminence, or driving AP-originated initiatives
  • Shape and support Global / AP eminence initiatives on industry / cross-industry / cross-sector topics
  • Support Sector Leaders and Sector Specialists in leveraging relationships with associations, and analysts
  • Work closely with marketing, insights and activation teams to provide input on eminence, thought leadership agendas and marketplace sprints
  • Deliver value from relevant industry bodies and associations and alliances
  • Manage internal communications activities including shaping the narrative, writing and editing key communication messages

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business administration or related field 
  • A minimum of 10 years of work experience that demonstrates superior management, strategy planning, analysis, and implementation experience
  • Ideally has a Consulting background /experience and is comfortable preparing strategy and demonstrated experience in strategy execution
  • Excellent written English and oral communications skills
  • Professional services background or an understanding of the professional services environment
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to translate concepts into practical and executable plans
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail and thorough execution 
  • Capable of building effective working relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple business areas, functions, and geographies
  • Client services background in the industry is preferred; however, knowledge of the industry is sufficient
  • Work experience should demonstrate knowledge of client service delivery, management, strategy planning and implementation experience and client relationship management
  • Commercially astute, able to spot and mobilize around opportunities
  • Strong decision-making ability and capacity to exercise sound judgement and diplomacy
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment leading by influencing, and motivating a team 
  • Ability to support leadership to drive stakeholder engagement
  • Inquisitive and constantly be on the pulse of trends happening within the TMT industry both regionally and globally
