Deloitte Asia Pacific Financial Advisory is looking for a senior manager or associate director to join the team in a full-time position to support the deployment of the Financial Advisory business strategy in Asia Pacific. This is a highly visible and globally strategic role, working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, business-focused environment.


The successful candidate will report directly to the Financial Advisory Asia Pacific Business Leader. S/he will be given working access to a number of senior stakeholders in the Financial Advisory function globally, and particularly in the Asia Pacific region. Working in an environment of continuous improvement, the sharing of ideas and knowledge is encouraged, and the individual will be given the freedom and opportunity to actively influence the direction of the team. 


The ability to work flexibly and independently in a virtual global environment is essential, as is a willingness to travel on an ad hoc basis, including supporting regional and global courses onsite and attendance at team/other meetings.

Work you’ll do


The responsibilities of the individual will include but not be limited to the following themes:

  • Act on behalf of the AP FA business leader to: act as a liaison between her and the executive and AP FA leadership team, manage her priority initiatives, and capture her voice via a suite of communications
  •  Influence and support delivery of the Deloitte Financial Advisory strategy for FY22 and beyond, working alongside Asia Pacific Financial Advisory (AP FA) executive members and leadership team, including, but not limited to:

-  Talent matters (e.g., delivering AP FA Women in Leadership Program, coordinating Global Financial Advisory (GFA) C&I Next Generation Female Leader program, fireside chat sessions, AP FA town halls)
-   AP FA and GFA Market campaigns

  • Support AP FA Chief Operating Officer and Transformation Officer to develop and track Deloitte AP budget and GFA budget allocations and measure KPIs on strategic initiatives
  •  Play a lead role in the AP FA FY24 transformation agenda, collaborating with geography leaders and working in partnership with the AP CSO and Strategy team, including but not limited to:

-    Project management  of the new AP FA Technology and Innovation Council 
-    Support (analysis, slide preparation, project management, etc.) priority transformation efforts such as the Future of Trust, Distressed Market Opportunities, and End-to-End M&A

  • Conceptualize, produce, and deliver monthly AP FA Executive and Leadership meetings, both virtual and in-person; including speakers, content, logistics/ meeting execution and associated communication 
  •   Produce ad hoc PowerPoint presentations, speaking points and other meeting deliverables as required by the Business Leader
  • Conceptualize and produce Communication calendar (includes AP FA Newsletter/ win stories) for AP FA Business Leader; and produce leadership and marketplace announcements (as necessary) across the year 
  • Join Global FA Chief of Staff community and share best practices among Chiefs of Staffs of other Business Units (BUs) / Leaders 
  • Manage and build social media presence for AP FA Business Leader (primarily LinkedIn) 
  •  Project manage AP Member Firm Standards process for 2022 and beyond, in collaboration with GFA COO/ support team and AP Risk & Reputation Leader 
  • Support AP FA Clients & Industries Leader and AP FA Transformation Officer on reporting and communication related to AP FA client and Must Win Opportunity wins 
  • Enable both FA Clients & Industries (C&I) and AP C&I campaigns and activities, including scheduling, priority setting, measuring KPIs, seeking feedback, and capturing compelling client narratives (use cases, win stories, etc.)
  • Support AP FA pursuits and pipeline management using the Jupiter (Salesforce) product
  • Spearhead AP FA executive team connectivity and alignment via leading weekly team calls, setting up and maintaining materials / calendars / website
  •  The right candidate could also lead management and delivery of the FA corporate development strategy in Asia Pacific

  •  Educated to degree level, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a communications, strategy or consulting function.
  • Experience working with professional practice is preferred, additionally working knowledge of Deloitte Financial Advisory function would be an added benefit.
  •  Experience of working with senior stakeholders in the business.
  • Experienced project manager used to working in multicultural environment.
  •  Ability to work flexibly and independently and as part of a virtual team. 
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and enthusiastically take on new challenges in response to changing market conditions and firm priorities.
  •  Excellent English language proficiency (written and spoken).
  • Excellent command of desktop technology packages (Word, Excel and particularly PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com (i.e., Jupiter) would be a distinct advantage.Previous experience working in corporate development strategy would be an added benefit.
