Work you’ll do

 

As part of the Global Cybersecurity team, this professional:

 

Strategic

  • Contributes to produce and maintain processes, procedures, operational and architectural documentation meeting GTI standards
  • Is accountable for execution according to established standards, procedures, and processes
  • Owns cross-functional support for development and implementation of systems
  • Ensures data center systems are always available and reliable
  • Ensures optimization and performance of the hardware and virtual infrastructure
  • Is responsible for awareness and compliance to policy and guidelines of the ISMS
  • Ensures compliance with Change Control processes and adherence to standards and documentation

 

Operational

  • Virtualization Operations
    • Owns virtualization operation and management
    • Is responsible for ensuring all virtualization hosts within the data center(s) conform to the same standard configurations and driver/firmware levels that are in line with leading practices
    • Identifies repeatable operational tasks and issues & creates automated resolutions to these situations to reduce operational overhead as required
    • Supports infrastructure applications from a Virtualization function as required, including VMWare, Microsoft Hyper-V, SQL Server, and Microsoft Clustering.
    • Drives optimization and performance of hardware infrastructure
  • Monitors the Service Desk system
  • Participates in planned “Systems Day” and other maintenance activities
  • Participates in a 24x7x365 on-call rotation
  • Responds to and manages service issues and problems
  • Reports any breaches in information security or policies

 

Relationship Management

  • Participates in global working groups responsible for the deployment and development of global technology systems and infrastructure
  • Participates in the business impact assessment and risk assessment processes and helps identifying appropriate controls to mitigate identified risks
  • Understands and communicates requirements of member firms and external regulatory bodies for data privacy
  • Advises stakeholders with peer guidance about basic knowledge and background of all Solutions Architecture technologies, processes and issues
  • Supports the execution of the primary goals of IT Governance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent education-related experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of combined experience in the technology domain
  • Proven track record and experience of the following in a highly complex and global organization:
    • managing large scale data center architecture and implementation; appreciate the important aspects of running a high availability enterprise environment
    • managing and organizing documentation within operational environments with focus upon indexing and content labeling
    • demonstrating expertise of IT governance concepts
    • recognizing and handling confidential and sensitive information
    • understanding the portfolio and the business drivers of the various components
    • operating within a process-driven organization, but not be limited or constrained by it
  • ITIL Foundation Qualification
  • Professional certifications are preferred
