Work you’ll do
In an increasingly demanding global environment, managing tax and statutory account deadlines is becoming more challenging. With our team of professionals experienced in Indirect tax, IFRS, US GAAP, GAAP conversion technology, tax consulting and project management, Deloitte helps businesses meet the challenges of multi-jurisdictional VAT, Statutory Accounting and reporting requirements.
We help clients transform processes and technologies to enhance efficiencies, align data, and improve transparency from ERP systems all the way through the reporting and documentation process, focusing on regional centralisation of indirect tax returns and financial statements preparation.
We are looking for an indirect tax professional to join our team in the Global Tax Center Asia team. The successful candidate will focus on APAC regional delivery of GST/VAT returns, coordination and delivery of tax and accounting services for corporate clients, and involvement in tax ERP and tax technology projects covering the APAC region. The successful candidate will work closely with a team headquartered in Singapore, with support teams in Malaysia. Some travel overseas may be required.

Requirements
- 4–6 years of Singapore GST advisory experience, gained within an international accounting firm, as part of an in-house tax team, or with IRAS.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related business field. Accreditation with SCTP is an added advantage.
- Ability to understand and identify clients' compliance processes to facilitate transition.
- Experience managing issues from routine compliance matters to complex cross-border transactions.
- Ability to assist with large finance and tax transformations, including leveraging technology solutions to improve and automate compliance services.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical, meticulous, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
