Work you’ll do
In an increasingly demanding global environment, managing tax and statutory account deadlines is becoming more challenging. With our team of professionals experienced in Indirect tax, IFRS, US GAAP, GAAP conversion technology, tax consulting and project management, Deloitte helps businesses meet the challenges of multi-jurisdictional VAT, Statutory Accounting and reporting requirements.
We help clients transform processes and technologies to enhance efficiencies, align data, and improve transparency from ERP systems all the way through the reporting and documentation process focusing on regional centralisation of indirect tax returns and financial statements preparation.
We are looking for a Statutory Accounting professional to join our team in the Global Tax Center Asia, to focus primarily on APAC regional delivery of US GAAP to Local GAAP conversions and preparation of Financial Statements (for various IFRS-compliant countries in APAC) as well as to coordinate the delivery of tax and statutory accounting services for corporate clients in the APAC region. The successful candidate will work with a team headquartered in Singapore and an offshore support team.

Requirements
- You should have at least 7 years of audit and accounting experience (not limited to Singapore or Malaysia or Philippines) preferably with an international accounting firm or in an MNC where you have been involved in IFRS/SFRS audit or GAAP conversion.
- Strong IFRS (or equivalent) technical skills
- Have general knowledge of differences between US GAAP and IFRS
- Have knowledge on the preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance to IFRS and similar GAAPs
- Have knowledge on audit process
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other business-related field, with a Professional Qualification as recognized by ISCA or equivalent, i.e. CPA Australia, ACCA, ICAEW.
- Excellent research and project management skills
- Highly organized and have a strong analytical mind
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
