Work you’ll do
- The primary responsibility will be managing and overseeing a portfolio of outsourced accounting clients, ensuring the delivery of quality and timely services
- Build, develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for all client inquiries and concerns.
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Review work performed by junior team members to ensure quality and compliance with the relevant accounting standards.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored accounting solutions.
- Monitor and manage client budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial goals.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance service delivery.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations to ensure compliance and provide informed advice to clients.
- Prepare and present financial reports to clients, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Ensure timely invoicing in respect of services performed and manage collections.
- Lead/participate in system improvements, change projects and business development opportunities
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy (CA Singapore or equivalent professional qualification preferred).
- At least 7 years of progressive experience in accounting.
- Good technical skills in accounting including knowledge in consolidation/group reporting and Singapore/International Financial Reporting Standards (US GAAP knowledge will be an added advantage).
- Responsive to client queries and able to work independently.
- Self-starter, organized, attention to detail, deadline oriented, hands-on.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
- Experience in leading a team of junior professionals in a fast-paced team environment on several projects.
- Experience with ERP system such as SAP, MS Navision, Xero or any other similar accounting system.
- MS Office is a must, including extensive Excel knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Mandarin language skills will be an added advantage).
