Work you’ll do

Payroll Assistant Manager position fulfils an integral transactional and reporting function in Deloitte’s Business Process Solutions (“BPS”) team. This role encompasses all aspects of Payroll and other special projects as needed. This position will report to the BPS Senior Manager / Partner. 

 

Responsibilities may include:  

  • Obtain and file accounting related documents on a timely manner and highlight any improvements to the data collection process as necessary 
  • Key in data in the accounting system and maintain the general ledger accounts for clients 
  • Preparing monthly accruals, prepayment and other manual journal entries and reconciling accounts monthly 
  • Accounts receivable – assisting with daily/weekly/monthly invoicing  
  • Payment processing and monitoring payables 
  • Be Seconded to client offices to assist in assisting the accounting process, when necessary 
  • Compile and provide financial or transactional information or data as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.
  • Four years or more experience in a similar payroll role
  • Candidates who come from a payroll outsourcing environment will be advantageousProficient in MS Office and proven experience in the usage of payroll software.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and handle confidential information with maturity and sensitivity.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, have good working attitude and good interpersonal communication skills
  • Candidate must be organized, detail-oriented, work well under pressure and be able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to coach a team of junior/fresh professionals in a fast-paced team environment.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
