Your Impact as Project Finance Manager / Assistant Manager
In this role, you’ll play a critical part in driving the financial success of large-scale commercial real estate development projects. You’ll combine technical accounting expertise with strategic thinking, delivering actionable insights and supporting stakeholders to align financial performance with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or support end-to-end project accounting for development projects, including capital expenditure tracking and compliance with IFRS/AASB standards.
- Manage or assist in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls to keep projects on track and within budget.
- Use financial models to conduct feasibility analyses and support major investment decisions.
- Collaborate with project managers, finance teams, and offshore delivery teams for seamless project execution.
- Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders and build trust across teams.
- Design and implement improved workflows and digital solutions for project accounting and financial reporting.
- Monitor financial risks and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard project outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project accounting, financial planning and analysis, or financial control- ideally within the commercial real estate development sector.
- Proven track record in managing or supporting large-scale commercial property development projects and financial controls.
- Strong financial modelling, budgeting, and reporting skills using tools like Excel. Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion) and planning tools (e.g., Hyperion, Anaplan) is an advantage.
- CPA or CA certification strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable recommendations for both finance and non-finance audiences.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to solving problems and implementing solutions.
