Work you’ll do

Deloitte’s Financial Services industry group strives to support clients in addressing the challenges that impact today’s industry. Our member firm’s global network engages with clients to refine their business models through innovative practices, improved processes and enabling information technologies.

This role will see you engage directly with high profile banking clients on their most important and challenging issues including defining the technology strategy, architecture and operating model for incumbent banks looking to transform themselves or neo banks, running the technology work stream for a large M&A program or developing a cloud transformation roadmap and more. We do not stop at defining the strategy and continue to work with our clients as trusted advisors throughout their journey. This also helps us to ensure that our strategy work is grounded and backed by learnings from actual implementation. You will also get a chance to collaborate with our global network where we have delivered truly cutting-edge technology projects for clients in this domain.

This role sits within the Technology, Strategy & Transformation team of Deloitte Southeast Asia, someone who can sit across from a CIO, a CTO or a CFO and lead the change that makes AI run properly inside a large enterprise: the strategy, the operating model, the funding case, and the program that delivers it. You will set the direction and pull in our AI & Data, engineering, cloud and cyber specialists to do the building.

Work you'll do

• Advise CIOs, CTOs, CDAOs and CFOs on AI as a technology problem. Tie what the business wants back to the platform, talent and governance decisions that have to come first.
• Design the operating model. Where AI capability lives, who runs it, how it's funded, how it moves through the delivery lifecycle, and how it's governed once it's in production.
• Set the platform and cloud readiness strategy that makes enterprise AI possible. You won't build it. You'll decide what good looks like and hold the line on it.
• Bring real financial discipline to AI spend. Business cases, technology investment management, FinOps for inference and GPU cost, and executive ready value tracking.
• Fold responsible-AI, model risk, privacy and regulation into how the client already governs technology.
• Lead big, messy transformation programs from strategy through rollout. Own the outcome, the sequencing, and the cross-team friction.
• Build the SEA pipeline. Proposals, CXO relationships, points of view.
• Train and grow a team across technology strategy, operating model, governance and delivery.

Requirements

If you are someone with:

• 18+ years across consulting, technology strategy or large-scale transformation, a good part of it at director or partner-track level.
• Real AI transformation programs you've owned, with outcomes you can point to. 
• Enough command of GenAI, agentic AI, data platforms and cloud to design and run the change, plus the judgment to know what to build, what to buy, and what to hand to the specialists.
• Comfort with the numbers. Business cases, technology spend, FinOps, value realization.
• Depth in at least one sector: financial services, telecom, consumer, healthcare, public sector, energy or tech.
• A background from a Big 4, a strategy or technology consulting firm, or a senior in-house technology role.
• The ability to make a board understand a hard AI question in plain language, and to sell.
• MBA or a master's in business, engineering, computer science or a related field. Preferred, not mandatory.
• Good to have: SEA or APAC experience and a network here; CIO or technology operating-model credentials; working knowledge of AWS, Azure and GCP, and of platforms like ServiceNow, Databricks or Snowflake at a strategy level; familiarity with regional rules such as MAS guidance and PDPA; and experience standing up AI operating models, a CCoE or a FinOps function inside a real company.
