Work you will do

Deloitte Government & Public Services is committed to improving public outcomes through a focus on people. At Deloitte we think about the complex issues facing the public sector and develop relevant, timely, and sustainable solutions for our clients.

This role sits within the industry-leading Project Management professionals will enable our public sector client’s end-to-end journey from on premise legacy systems to the cloud, from design through deployment, and leading to a transformed organisation primed for growth.

You’ll work alongside our clients to help them achieve success in the Project Management, with reference to the following areas:

• Lead and manage all aspects of SI projects, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, and quality assurance.
• Re-imagine ways of working. Engage the entire businesses to re-imagine the way work gets done and how new products and services are brought to market, all enabled by different technologies.
• Innovate in delivery. Embrace new agile ways of working, enabled by new Cloud tools, to deliver your Cloud solutions.

• Lead and manage all aspects of cloud engineering projects, including scope definition, planning, execution, monitoring, and control.

• Actively contribute to building the talent pipeline by championing a talent experience that attracts, develops and retains top talent and high performing teams.

If you are someone with:

• Tertiary qualification in a technology or engineering discipline with a well ranked institution and/or currently enrolled in a MBA program.
• Minimum 8-12 years of professional experience in Project Management with leading managing consulting firms in Government or Public Sector.

• Lead and manage all aspects of SI projects, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, and quality assurance.

• Ensure timely and successful project delivery within scope, budget, and schedule constraints.
• Oversee the implementation of complex IT solutions, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
• Manage project teams, including internal Deloitte resources and external vendors and subcontractors.
• Conduct regular project status reviews with clients, stakeholders, and senior management.
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project success.
• Ensure adherence to Deloitte methodologies, standards, and best practices.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication, trust, and collaboration.

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients on all project-related matters.
• Understand client business needs and objectives and translate them into effective project solutions.
• Manage client expectations and ensure their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and present project proposals and presentations to clients.

• Contribute to business development activities by identifying and pursuing new SI opportunities within the Government and Public Sector.

• Develop and maintain relationships with key government and public sector clients.
• Contribute to the development of innovative SI solutions to address the evolving needs of government agencies.

• Ability to lead and deliver large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business and technology solutions for large organisations, preferably in public sector.

• Experience in developing and presenting proposals for business development activities
• Experience with budgetary responsibilities related to projects or resources.
• Exceptional interpersonal, team-building, and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience.
• Ability to build consensus and foster change in ambiguous settings.
• Commitment to professional excellence, as well as personal and professional growth.
• Drive, tenacity, client focused and results oriented.
• An appreciation of the consulting lifestyle and ability to travel (both locally and abroad) is a prerequisite to fit to our short-term and long-term project assignment.
• Willingness to work outside of office base.
