Work you’ll do

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our finance team. The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing tax related matters, ensuring compliance with Singaporean tax laws and regulations, optimizing tax strategies, and minimizing tax risks. This position reports directly to the Finance Senior Manager.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform tax and deferred tax provision calculations and reconciliations for financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore tax laws and reporting requirements.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure compliance with updates.
  • Managing and overseeing the filing of regular tax returns, including income tax, GST, withholding tax and other direct or indirect taxes.
  • Coordinate and manage tax audits, inquiries, and notices from tax authorities.
  • Identify tax risks and exposures and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Provide timely tax advice and guidance to internal stakeholders, including finance teams and senior management, regarding tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
  • Provide guidance and support on individual income tax matters and assist in navigating complex tax equalization and profit-sharing arrangements within the firm, ensuring tax compliance and optimization.
  • Support for application of tax residency certificates and administration of tax forms required by overseas firms.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company's tax position and minimize tax liabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related business field
  • Professional Qualification recognized by ISCA (Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants). SCTP (Singapore Chartered Tax Professional) accreditation would be considered an advantage
  • At least 6 years of corporate tax experience, preferably gained within an international accounting firm or multinational corporation
  • Strong understanding of Singaporean tax laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines
