Work you’ll do

 

The focus of this role is to liaise, build strong relationships with Deloitte Myanmar’s Chinese clients and targets, with support from Global and SEA CSG teams. Candidate will work cross functionally, as well as cross culturally, to provide a coordinated service to Chinese clients. 

 

1. Business Development

 

 

  • Participate in networking events within Chinese business community in Myanmar;
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization;
  • Research and build relationships with new clients;
  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and client service teams;
  • Plan approaches and pitches, and work with local client service teams, and Global CSG team, to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs and concerns;
  • Use a technical and cultural knowledge, as well as soft skills, to persuade or negotiate appropriately with clients to win the deal.


2. Client Retention

 

 

  • Present new services and enhance existing relationships;
  • Work with client services teams to meet customer needs;
  • Arrange and participate in internal and external client meetings.


3. Business Development Planning

 

 

  • Analysis and provide feedback and information on market trends and competitors’ moves;
  • Consult with senior management level on business trends with a view to developing cohesive approaches that will lead to an increase in market share, including organizing marketing campaigns, technical seminars and workshops in Myanmar or overseas;

Requirements

 

  • A minimum five (5) years of experience, working in professional services, commercial or financial services environment (Big 4 experience is an advantage)
  • Possess minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in related disciplines such as accounting, marketing, business, commerce, economics or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience in audit/risk advisory/financial advisory
  • Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Strong client centric mindset
  • Ability to demonstrate the knowledge of market and industry to build important contacts and recognize worthwhile opportunities
  • Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and skills in identifying gaps and opportunities based on client information analysis
  • Ability to establish credibility, communicate value and develop trust with clients
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively as a team
  • Good knowledge of research tools for analysis and general understanding of database technology
  • Proficient in Microsoft office tools in particular Word, Excel and Power Point
