Work you’ll do:

The Artificial Intelligence & Data team leverages the power of data, analytics, robotics, science and cognitive technologies to uncover hidden relationships from vast troves of data, generate insights, and inform decision-making. Together with the Strategy practice, our Strategy, Growth & Innovation portfolio helps clients transform their business by architecting organizational intelligence programs and differentiated strategies to win in their chosen markets. 

This role sits within the Artificial Intelligence & Data team of Deloitte Southeast Asia, which encompasses data, analytics and intelligent automation (IA). As a consultant in this group, you will deliver our Intelligent Automation solutions: robotic process automation, intelligent character recognition, chatbots/virtual assistants and artificial intelligence. 

Your role as a leader

Senior Consultant BI / Report Developer will work closely with Business, Operations, Product Management team to define best technical solution and development process, including but not limited to:

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and development: Create reports, dashboards, and other data visualizations based on business requirements using BI tools like Power BI, Tableau.
• Requirements gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts and managers, to understand their reporting needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Project planning: Assist the projects in planning, development and test phases. Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured project plans, change tickets, release notes and test cases for background processes.
• Data querying and modeling: Write complex SQL queries and use data modeling techniques to extract and prepare data from various sources.
• Data integrity and validation: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data within reports by performing quality checks and troubleshooting discrepancies.
• Performance optimization: Tune the performance of reports and queries to ensure efficient delivery of data, even with large datasets.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including report specifications, data sources, and methodologies.
• Maintenance and support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing reports and provide ongoing maintenance and updates as business needs evolve.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of experience
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, dashboard design concepts & , dimension modelling, and working with large data sets
• Expertise with one or more BI reporting tools, such as Power BI, Tableau etc.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying databases is essential.
• Experience in developing scripts for data transformation using Python
• Use of Complex to advance analytical functions and developing optimal scripts and set analysis
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• BI service support components (e.g. Data warehouse, extract-transform-load processes, databases)
• Strong verbal and written communication, presentation and collaboration skills. Good relationship building skills are necessary, including the ability to build a rapport and communicate effectively with all levels of the customer.
• Good command over verbal and written English
• work closely with application development and testing teams to support Data ETL build and supports project activities especially on Data and ETL platforms
